"We've taken some wrong turns. We've been letting the loudest voices dictate our thinking, which has taken us way off course. I'm speaking up and bringing us back to the center of the road."

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author and beloved television host comes We’ve Got Issues, How You Can Stand Strong for America’s Soul and Sanity, a new book on how to come home to our core values, fortify our families and re-embrace self-determination and self-governance.

In WE’VE GOT ISSUES: How You Can Stand Strong for America’s Soul and Sanity:

Dr. Phil employs his signature no-nonsense approach to meticulously analyze American’s cultural crisis and offers practical, empirically based, action-oriented strategies to restore our country to societal health, sanity, and power.

This compelling work combines a brutally honest look at the sustained attack on the American family and erosion of the core values that have defined this great country for over 250 years. Providing prescriptive guidance, Dr. Phil addresses mainstream Americans need to “push back” against the “Tyranny of the Fringe’s” dangerous level of divisiveness with sensible and urgently needed advice supported by the latest social, medical, and psychological scientific findings.

“I love this country – flaws, fallacies, and all – and I don’t believe we have to tear it down from within to make it better. I want to offer a path back to a united American in which we all take pride,” stated McGraw. “Reclaiming our shared values and rejecting nonsense is not just a national imperative but a personal responsibility.”

Written in Dr. Phil’s distinct style WE’VE GOT ISSUES: How You Can Stand Strong America’s Soul and Sanity is action-oriented and direct, presenting a constructive vision for moving from cancel culture to counsel culture, from fear to acceptance, and from victimhood to a meritocracy, with a narrative that makes sense.

This compelling work combines a brutally honest look at the sustained attack on the core values that have defined America at its best, and offers prescriptive guidance on what you can do in your own life to stop the madness. With his 10 working principles for a healthy society, Dr. Phil provides the tools for mainstream America to fight back against the forces of division with sensible and urgently needed advice supported by the latest social, medical, and psychological findings.

We have strayed far from the values that made this country great, the same ones Dr. Phil has endorsed for decades to millions of Americans: accountability, merit, hard work, common sense, self-determination, God, and family. These common-sense precepts have formed the backbone of countless successful lives and families and made our country a beacon of hope to the rest of the world.

In WE’VE GOT ISSUES: How You Can Stand Strong for America’s Soul and Sanity:

Dr. Phil demystifies the “Tyranny of the Fringe” and deconstructs their assault on the principles that made our nation prosperous, free, and powerful. With the hard-earned wisdom of years spent working with Americans of all backgrounds, Dr. Phil charts a course from cancel culture to counsel culture, from fear to acceptance, from victimhood to community, and from the tyranny of the fringe to a more civil society where we heal our divides and every one of us decides to be who we are on purpose.

I don't know your stance on how detrimental the shutdown was to the elderly but I would love for you to write a book!! My Mom was doing great in assisted living. In California I was not aloud to see her for a year even though we were both vaccinated. I could only wave at her through the window and talk on the phone. Most residents stayed in their room and not even able to eat in the dining room together even though they were vaccinated. All activities stoped and my Mom ended up wandering the halls rarely seeing anyone. She had been very active and participated in a lot of activities and meals. About 6 months into it her health had declined and she was put in memory care at 10, 000 a month. I was working full-time and wasn't physically able to care for her at home . My Mom passed a year and a half after her move to memory care. I believe the shutdown, and lack of human contact
My aunt passed early in the pandemic and my cousin was only able to see her on her death bed.😢😢

Thank you for bringing this up. I’m so full of anxiety and fear for what this country and how people treat each other has become. We all don’t have to agree, but let’s bring back some civility and respect for one another and come to some type of compromise without all the hate and violence that has ensued.

I'm Canadian and I'm currently reading your book. I'm breathing a sigh of relief that the way I've been feeling is being acknowledged by Dr Phil, whom I've admired since I was a child. I've been through the grinder and have lost friends over my views on these topics, and it's sad, but it doesn't feel like a loss to me anymore. I was on board with the woke movement until it started getting exhausting and frankly delusional. I've been called a transphobe, even though one of my best friends in high school was trans and I have a deep respect for her as a person. I've been called out because I referred to my non verbal 8 year old son as autistic, because the correct term is now person with autism (As if I'm not the person that loves my son more than any other person on this planet). I was attacked for voicing my opinions, insulted, told that my opinions are not opinions because it's considered hate speech, even though I have no mean bone in my body. Our conservative premier in my province just had to block our schools from introducing policies that would give teachers the right to not let parents know that their child is transitioning, it's an ongoing fight. Thank you for speaking out on this!! I saw your interview on the view, and you were fearless in the face of criticism, and you didn't back down for fear of what you may be labeled.

It Sounds good, but seems like most people just don’t care anymore! They just care about themselves and that’s it. It’s really sad to see our country going backward. I hope it’s fixable.
