I think it’s sad that people dismiss the tragic outcomes of Selena Quintanilla and Christina Grimmie. Both of them were stunning women and superstars but unfortunately they also had crappy fans. Chappell is in the right to ask for privacy and personal boundaries. Some fans are completely ignorant.

The fact anyone thought that she was in the wrong career path because she set boundaries with creeps is wild. Crazy “fans” have a history of doing horrible things.

Chapell Roan was 10000% right for trying to set up boundaries. Insane that people think it's okay to invade celebrities just because they're famous as if they're no longer people.

I remember seeing posts about this, the amount of people who genuinely believe that because you're famous you no longer have a right to boundaries/privacy/personal time is INSANE and honestly depressing. Like what's the point of being a fan of someone if you're actively supporting and defending the people who ruin their day and experience as a creator

8:08 “YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SAY NO TO CREEPY BEHAVIOR” is such an important thing that we should teaching to more young kids out there, especially women, who are conditioned to learn that everyday harassment in public and in online spaces is a “commonplace” occurrence that they have to tolerate. Stalking is not okay. Harassment is not okay. You are not entitled to a stranger’s time, their space, or attention. No means no, people!

I find it crazy that she described her situation as how girls live their life but to a greater degree and her biggest stalkers are girls. Like you'd think they'd have empathy for her.

Will Ferrell came into my restaurant once with his family and he ultimately left his party because every customer kept bugging him. He was there with family friends and wanted to enjoy time after his kids soccer game. He couldn’t even enjoy a meal. It was so sad to see. Our manager had to act like security to keep people away from him.

There are creeps out there. I feel so bad for her. But that's the sad thing with celebrities. Their fans have no respect for them and think the celeberties should base their lives around pleasing them so sad.

See, this is why we can't have nice things. Because some folks were never taught that they are Not the most important person in the world.

Unless there's a meet and greet ... You shouldn't be approaching celebrities, or internet famous people . Cause they out here trying to live their lives and enjoy their dinners or walks .

She was absolutely justified in making those comments. People found and stalked her family members at their home and jobs. People bought plane tickets just so they could get near her at the airport. Someone else saw her on the phone with her therapist crying and approached her for a photo. That's all insane behavior. And it's not like her response to all of that is a huge shocker because she said publicly that if people ever got too weird, she would quit. We were warned. If she just up and disappears one day, those weirdos have no one to blame but themselves.

She's so right. Being a fan does not entitle you to be invasive to people's lives no matter how famous they are. I do think they should be careful about what they share and looking at what the publicly post is fine, but finding out where they live or get in their personal lives is so weird and creepy

The reason Chappell made these posts is because someone was literally finding out where her family lived and following them around town. They also called her by her first name and followed her for a day. If I was an overnight sensation, I’d freak out too.

people got so offended when Doja Cat said it too these preformers do not owe you their personal life, they do not owe you their entire lives and they definitely have the right to privacy do not act like it's their responsibility to give you all their time and energy...they owe you the performance that you pay for and nothing else.

The way I see it: it’s normal for kids to throw tantrums. It’s still inappropriate to let that behavior continue without correction. So while you’ll see a kid screaming out in public, everyone is going to point out that behavior and think “stop it you little shit”. Poor parasocial entitled “fans” just haven’t been told stop. Surprised pikachu.

"I think the people who watch us are super chill." I watch you because you're understanding and have firm boundaries. That and your comment section doesn't feel like an absolute warzone, so I agree.
