Stu, You don't need an extra part to do this.. most FC boards have an LED control. You can just use that port in the board to adjust camera settings. A lot of new boards actually have a cam control pin these days too.

Wooh! That's weird! I was literally texting a friend yesterday asking, how can I hook up my new micro eagle so I can change settings on the fly without plugging up the board that came with it. The Bardwell f4 and the cl racing f4s has cam control built in which are excellent flight controllers and a bonus to have it!!

Always the best tech from you Stew! This functionality is standard on my Open-Solo, (GoPro 3+black edition, and it also works with the GP 4) and I use it on almost every flight autonomous or direct control, and I think this tiny wonder will appeal to commercial grade UAV pilots and even hobby grade $1700 DJI pilots as well :p, that love our camera birds, but are getting bored of "flying the autopilot" and are now bank account deep into FPV Racers to feel the rush!

Hey Stew, is there any way you could revisit the turnigy evolution and the newest/best receivers to use with it? I haven't been able to find very many, but it could just be my lack of connections.

The most fc’s have also a camera control or you cam solder to the led strip on the fc end in the cli put the command for camera control.

I have this functionality on all my quads mostly with just a resistor one micro cam also needed a cap.
