What's happened with "Willow Quantum Computer" is they built an initial Quantum Computer using the qubit error correction breakthrough(s) that happened a month or so ago. It shows good progress.

There's a bunch of different Quantum Computer pathways, and I'm sure they are all applying the qubit error corrections breakthrough(s) that happened a month or so ago.

Me? I've been waiting for March 2025-ish, which is when I heard a topological qubit team will announce their fully general programmable Quantum Computer(although a prototype).

The best use of this technology will be to predict outcomes with a high level of certainty. For example, what is the probability it will rain tomorrow, or the probability a specific drug will cure a cancer, or wich material can extract the most energy from the sun for solar panels, etc. In other words, this technology has the potential to solve all the worlds problems and even, quite possibly, predict the future💡

That was a strange question from the anchor. Why wouldn't a massive complex computer use more power than the generation before it. Yes it is safe to assume it does or that would have been one of the key points of their announcement. Faster and more efficient.

Google designed a problem that would take a modern computer 24 septillion years to solve and which would, obviously, be impossible for a human to ever do so.

What exactly was that problem? It must have been one the most pressing issues of our time.

It seems unlikely that humans would have the capacity to understand and express such a highly complex problem and still be unable to derive a workable solution.

Just being substantially & sustainably faster than as just as affordable as fastest computer would be a game changer 😂😂😂.
