Just had my own Nebraska adventure recently and entirely agree that Omaha surprisingly has a lot of awesome things to offer. The Henry Doorly Zoo was phenomenal (pretty much my new favorite zoo in the country) and Laka Lono was a treat. Glad it's not just me appreciating this city!

Grew up in Lincoln but moved to Omaha for college and lived there for 8 years and fell in love with the city. Post covid moved to Florida for a change of pace and a job opportunity, but after a few years I’m finally coming back “home” next month and I couldn’t be more excited. Omaha is where I see myself for the long term

Omaha born and raised. I am old enough to remember the old zoo that you mentioned .
Years ago, Omaha had four major packing houses and big stockyards. Today it is called the "prairie valley" as the midwests silicone valley. The major big tech companies have sites here.
Home to the College World Series, the basketball Creighton Bluejays, and undisputed boxing champion Bud Crawford.
The bridge is named in honor of former Governor and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Bob Kerry who is still with us.
Omaha has many great places to eat, but I always recommend a nostalgic Steakhouse such as Johnny's, Casio's, or Warren Buffet favorite Garats steakhouse. They are like being in a time warp circa 1960's.
And finally you can go to all these places and not fight a crowd. I have been to San Diego zoo and found that I liked Omaha's zoo better simple because the ease of getting around without the huge crowd of a bigger city . That includes the roads and airport .

I have never been to Omaha. However, *as always, you have me wanting to go. I want to thank you and Pops. You're the perfect tour guides, as you touch on so many, diverse attractions the city has to offer. Lest I forget, I love your food inclusions.
Thank you, Josh and Pops, for your incredible videos.👏🏻🎊🔥

How did you miss eating a Runza when you were in Nebraska?? It's classic Cornhusker fare!! Your video was great and thanks from a Nebraska native for putting a positive light on what many view as a "flyover" state.

I am a transplant to Omaha from South Louisiana, but I truly love it here! And the zoo is worth the hype. Rubens are very subjective (so many awesome ones that we actually have a Rubenfest here in Omaha!), and crescent moon has a good one, but nothing can beat Barrett’s Barleycorn IMHO. Great place to live. Great place to raise a family.

Glad you enjoyed it. I've heard a lot of visitors along the lines of "Omaha is better than I expected!"
My motto for Omaha is "Sure the weather sucks, but at least the taxes are high."

I enjoy both of you. Josh nd Pops, you 2 are one of my top 5 channels. I did a lot of contract work in Omaha. And since my contracts were any where fron 2 + weeks, I got to many areas in the area. I had a 4 to 6 weeks there, got to see many things there. It was the 1st time I had brown fries. And I found the people very friendly and willing to help if I got lost! (That was a time before GPS!)
