Elden Ring - Opening Cutscene / First In-Game Cinematic. Just a quick video showing the starting cutscene while playing Elden Ring.

Any major story spoilers won't be shown on the channel, outside of boss names and boss pictures (except for those with major story spoilers or implications / final boss). If you're worried about seeing an image and names of random bosses during the game then I apologise, but every single other channel covering the game is also doing the same. So it wouldn't make sense trying to avoid posting boss names when uploading these. Will go through all of the bosses with no damage, and post location guides or anything else in between.

For now this is PS5 gameplay, but I'll be moving to PC when it releases on there later tonight (for ease of recording and editing).

honestly, i genuinely love all of the goofy eldritch horror sounding names and visuals of the game. i don’t even know what is happening half the time i’m playing but all of the cinematic elements and sick designs make this game rule. love him or hate him, loathsome dung eater being hung goes SO hard.

I really thought the Tarnished that were introduced were all gonna be the main bosses of the game, not a mix of optional bosses and side npc quests. Its a nice contrast from the intro in DS3

I still remember how this opening made me feel as a new player. It tells this epic tale of all powerful demigods, corrupted by slivers of divine power and who razed the lands between in pursuit of more. Then it introduces the tarnished, dead who are brought back to life in hopes that we can restore peace. The chieftain of the only lands worse than the lands between, a man who's brilliance probably refers to his signature golden mask, a necrophiliac, a man literally called the "Loathsome Dung Eater", and Sir Gideon the Know-it-all. And after a long, deafening silence, us. A person so unnoteworthy our name isn't even known. It really gave a feeling of "You are A chosen one, not THE chosen one. You were chosen not because you stand a chance, but because you are the only chance left."

Considering GRR Martin helped make this, I fully expect the loathsome Dung Eater to be a truly wicked soul
