Hilarious to those of us who did this for 12 years and just called it "Tying your Tie". When you go to a school where you can get grabbed by the tie at any moment this is not only second nature, it's a fucking lifeline due to the quick release. Children have no idea these days.

This knot doesn’t seem to have a “quick release” like the Windsors. When you pull the small side through to untie, the wide side still has a knot, unlike the Windsors that just release when you tug. Am I doing something wrong here or is that just how this knot works?

No joke legit almost choked myself with this. When finished, the narrow end of the tie can tighten but good luck pulling it out. Fuck this knot.
