Here in Japan combo washers and dryers are quite popular. We have had one for about 5 years. One nice aspect is you can toss your clothes in just before you go to bed, run it overnight (at discount electricity rates), then have fresh clean clothes in the morning.

Thank you for this presentation. I used to have a very basic 60” Garland gas stove, 24” griddle / broiler, 12” X24” hot top. I had it built with 1 big oven and the other side I had 2 doors. This compartment I used to keep my stock pots in. Purchased brand new in 1988. I loved it, never had any problems. It was used a lot as I used to do canning, etc. I sold it about 6 years ago for 1/2 of what I paid for it! I had a very good and strong over stove vent. DO NOT SKIMP ON A GOOD VENT! I am now looking for a smaller stove. Either Wolf gas only 36” stove or AGA Elise. Gas cook top with electric oven 48”. Next year I am looking at re doing my kitchen.

I think you should have an episode that defines “how you use your kitchen” …I’ve never used steam and like the idea but can it actually replace my microwave? What can’t I reheat in the steam oven?

I'm looking at remodeling now and am in the camp that you buy the appliances that make sense to you. My 6 year old $1800 frenchdoor whirlpool is still good, but I can see replacing it to match a new dishwasher with a style that is more refined from Bosch and not SubZero since I want to save $12k minimum. The range stands out more thanks to the hood and usually commanding presence in the kitchen, so I can see why upgrading the 30" freestanding Whirlpool immediately is necessary :) I think you should have discussed the deadzone of gas Rang+Oven offerings between $2000-8000, where every comment and review is full of regrets that they should have just bought a Wolf/Viking/BS/ect. Thank you for your invaluable knowledge.

What do you guys think of the LG Steam Closet? GE Profile is supposed to come out with one soon to "match" the Ultrafast Combo, but it has been delayed once already. Have you heard anything about this new product?

After wanting to buy all Cafe for my kitchen, i came to the decision to go with SKS. All of their appliances may not be the best, but they seem to fit my needs at a very reasonable price. I am ordering them today...unless you change my mind! 🙂 thanks for all the information that you provide, it is valuable and i wish that you had a store near me in California.

Is there a solution to venting OUT steam and odor from wall ovens these days? I am interested in the SKS wall oven duo for our next kitchen, but I was thinking to go to a one piece range or wall oven under induction cooktop to improve venting of steam and odor that we have in our current setup.

Hey guys! Can you recommend a couple inexpensive French Door fridges that would have the most minimal protrusion out from the counter? I have 30” depth counters. Thx!

At 17:40 Steve refers to an SKS oven for $4500. Are you able to share a link or model number?

Do you think subzero will come out with a smaller pro fridge? Subzero needs to update/refresh the pro3650

Which French door or side swing double wall oven do you recommend for someone who bakes and cooks a lot

Just looked on the Yale website for that SKS double wall oven w speed oven on top and steam-assist oven on the bottom. I didn’t find one for $4500, which is the price you quoted. Is there a chance you misspoke? If not, could you please provide the model number? Love your videos. Thanks!

Our house, which we bought in 2004, had that Maytag Neptune W/D set. They were terrible.

There was a dishwasher from the 90’s that surprisingly Bosch made, it was the worst, even a neighbor had one and they had nothing, but problems.

I'm about to get an 30" induction range and deciding between Wolf and a Bosch. Both seem reliable. The Wolf is twice the price of the Bosch and I'm trying to gauge what I'm paying for that price.

- I'm in Madison, WI and Wolf/Subzero/Cove is local so I'll always have better service and parts
- significantly better and bigger oven with twin convection
- bridge elements

Am I missing anything?

I just purchased a GE Profile electric dryer. I hate it so far. It takes forever to dry clothes and has an eco button that you have to disabled before every load otherwise it can take over 2 hours to dry a load, from the reviews I have read. I can turn on a load and it says it will run for over 1 hour to dry, only to come back to a damp load of clothes. Any thoughts? I still can return it so trying to get more info asap. Thanks

I am about to get 24" wall ovens but the fear of shooting myself in the foot for any future sale of my home is making me add a 36" range instead of a cooktop just to protect future value...and my home isn't big so its a big compromise to give up storage to preserve future value...but that's probably why even if people downsize they dont do it with appliances... people have expectations when buying that aren't aligned with the actual needs unfortunately
