I picked up the pair of "compact head" ones. Absolutely love them, especially the stubby.

You should check out the Tekton ratchets. I’ve used them for a while doing various car and small engine jobs, they have held up really well and the design is excellent.

Flat Rate Master... I didn't know they had ratchets. I would like to try them and their wrenches. Been eyeing the wrenches for a while. Thanks for sharing with us.

Speaking of Milwaukee, I recently came across their USA Thunderbolt twist drills. They seemed to be aimed at the industrial market. A parabolic design, jobber length, black/gold coating, split tip. Likely either M7 or M2 steel. Some can still be bought on ebay. If the remaining sizes are of use to you - they're good for threading, ie. 21/64, 29/64...that sort of thing - there are bargains to be had. Good luck.

I just bought the ARES set that are similar to these, just shorter. I guess I've never understood the advantage of non-flex-head, but I bought them anyway. I suppose fewer parts means fewer possibilities for it to break.

I wished the engraved rather than laser etched. I enjoy the handles. I have medium sized hands and it finds good for me. As far as a hard handle I do enjoy the ergonomic.

I am not a pro but enjoy these videos quite a bit. My whole life I had the original Craftsman ratchets with just the standard handles. I have since added other brands and just within the last few years I have added a few with the "comfort" grip handles. I honestly have no real preference one way or the other. But I would give a slight edge to the comfort grips if you are working in the cold. So I do have the comfort grips in my car toll bag should I need them on the road when it is cold.

I’ve personally had issues with some Milwaukee hand tools they seem to be soft and wear quickly.

The worst Milwaukee tool I’ve owned was a pair of their vise grips stripped the tightening screw because it seemed to made of cast.

Ever since then I figured I’d let them iron out their issues and do what I should have done in the first place and just buy American German or Japanese hand tools. With exception being Taiwan ratcheting wrenches because that’s basically we’re all of them are made.

I've been thinking about picking on up to test with, noticed they've got a small stock at my local big box store now.

I have to agree with personal preference on the handle size but have to add in a comment about any mechanic is going to arthritis in their hands if they spent over ten years in the field working in a mechanical field. For my 45 plus years a thin handle is going to be a show stopper even with my hands not as big as a ham hock.

Just sold my Snap On Epiq tool box to buy a Milwaukee....ok, that’s not exactly how it happened. But Milwaukee is making pretty good stuff. Even if some is rebranded, still everything i’ve tried has been good.

I just purchased KoKen 72 tooth ratchets. 1/4” & 3/8. They are the best. I have several snap on & a Matco. KoKen is the smoothest by far !

Nothing like a 100% lifetime warranty on these tools👌

Will stay with the *MATCO RATCHETS* way slimmer design and better handle design.

I think Milwaukee are missing a trick by not making a soft grip version. I always loved the old school Snap On chrome I tried the comfort handle. Now I don't both the solid metal handle versions any more.
