Screeching streetcars become the soundtrack of this Toronto neighbourhood

Residents in The Beach Triangle say screeching streetcars using the Woodbine loop are driving them off the rails. But how loud is too loud? Caryn Ceolin measured the ear-piercing sound.

I have lived right next to the loop for many years. ALl these people are being dramatic. It is not that bad at all.. the sound of the voice of a NIMBY is way worse.

There seems to be so many issues with these streetcars. Always having to fix the tracks, the noise, the jerking around corners and those seats facing each other. Only good thing is it has AC.

Is there anyone on a daily basis actually love tgese things! They give me anxiety whether a driver or a rider. If it was just to tour the day in toronto? Maybe. For an everyday commute? No way. Not only is it slow for the person inside going to work but also people driving. When the street car needs to stop l, it stops 2 lanes!!! Why??? It makes no sense. They also junk up neighbourhoos with unsightly wires everywhere. Especially in older neighbourhoods. As a passenger it feels more dangerous when you need to get on and off. Its stressful for both cars and passengers. I hate them. Who actually

Outdated system. Modern cities have underground subway system which is better for regular traffic and cyclists and pedestrians safety. But city of Toronto does everything backwards and continues lay fails to modernize.
