I learned this from firefighters. They do it in -50 sweatier. They put antifreeze in a spray bottle and spray it on the hydrant threads before they attach the hoses. It keeps the hoses from sticking to the hydrant threads. Works great for metal door jambs, metal doors, and garage doors.

Timmy, your life is insanely active and accomplished. So much to be proud of. You're an inspiration to all the men in the world.

Nice job on the door Timmy. Advice from an old school carpenter. Leave your door on the hinges and scribe the 11/4” on the bottom, then take it off and cut the bottom. This helps if the floor and door bottom aren’t even. You can even make your cut on a little bevel. Had to do this all the time before pre-hung doors. Blessings

3” is the magic number for the bottom of the door to the deck in all situations. Also, a Dutch style door is nice for the heavier snowfalls. It allows the top half to open enough for to climb out in case of an emergency. The last thing you want is to wake up in the middle of the night to your camper on fire just to find out your doors frozen shut on you.

Man that truck you have id take that truck over any other vehicle in the world you have the best set up and to top that off you built it yourself

Almost 52 year old cop here. Tim you are inspiring this old dog to learn new tricks. You have the spirit of an old school explorer who understands its never about the destination, its all about the journey. Can't wait to see you drive to the Arctic Ocean, put up your feet up by the fire, enjoy a home cooked meal and chill. I think Lewis & Clark would have enjoyed hanging with you!

Watching the vintage Ford Powerstroke forge through the frozen tundra makes me proud. My '97 leads a sheltered life compared to the extreme tests you subject yours to. The 7.3L is a wonderful power plant! Great choice! Keep on trucking!

It seems like Tim is a good carpenter, he adjusts his door and he builds his own home and does a really good job at both. I look at what he has done to expand his home and it is amazingly well done.

Great to hear that you took the advice from the community and not cold start the engine anymore. As a mechanic myself I always winced a bit at every start of the engine.
Awesome content as always

You may want to water proof seal that fresh wood cut area on the bottom of the door

The threshold is a great addition. One suggestion, turn it so the screws are inside the camper. Enjoy the content.

Oh, btw, stellar job on the threshold! I had to run a frig water line across my kitchen threshold and used that one. I threaded it through that rubber seal and it works great!

A door sweep would help to keep some of the cold out also.

Love all the adventures. I own a 96 F250 Powerstroke and I’m looking forward to you making an extensive video on your mods. About your snow bike, try attaching skate board rails to the bottom of the snow board.
