Jen!! I'm a home baker and that batter is actually the perfect consistency. Some batters are thicker while others are thinner (usually batters that are made make really soft or melted butter or oil/ different ratios of liquid to dry ingredients).. hope that can help you next time around when you make cake/ cupcakes ❤

As for the icing, the most common type is American buttercream which is made with butter and powdered sugar. I think the chocoalte frosting you were making was more of a glaze since glazes use powdered sugar and a liquid like milk or water which makes the icing like a soupy consistency.. but the ratios seemed really unusual for it to even be a glaze since that was way too much milk haha. Amazing attempt 🥰 perhaps you and Kennedy can make a baking video together ❤
