Captain America... Loved watching David wright play, on mothers day in 2009 I was 11 and we sat close to catcher upper towards the dugout, after the Mets beat the pirates all the kids ran up to the wall next to the dugout and david wright threw his mother days equipment into the crowd and handed me a pink forearm band !, that I still have. Out of all the kids that were there at that wall screaming David Wright gave me the armband it was awsome, he's a class act, now I'm 21 and it's crazy that he retired, I hope they retire his jersey like they should.

It’s also sad that Reyes wasn’t honored as much as this. I know Reyes wasn’t as young and played his whole career healthily, but he was good in his prime.

I hope all of you know my bus drivers son played baseball when he was younger with David Wright he was invited to join the marlins and he rejected it and David and his high school team signed balls for every teammate but his grandsons have wiped it off by playing with it so they don’t have is signature anymore
