Whether Ley lines are real or not, modern man has no idea about the type of consciousness people had thousands of years ago. Put yourself in their place. The silence, lack of distraction, and complete concentration on the world around you and of all aspects of nature to which you owed your complete existence. The sights and sounds, the stars, being in tune with all around you because your very survival depended on it. I can imagine such a person would be very sensitive to any and all aspects of the earth. So who are we to say that they may not have known something that we don't?

Churches are a good example of these lines. Their construction sites appear to follow ley lines, forming a variety of geometric patterns. They are often built on ancient holy places.

As with the study of ancient civilization, and dating and such, , add Ley lines to that, , academics attack ANYTHING that goes against their pre-concieved notions of history.

I think it is tied into changes in methods of cartography and astrology. Most of the oldest maps and calendars seemed to use a different form of reference and relation than our modern longitudes and latitudes.

I don't know about ley lines, but... there is something very interesting I've found on the globe. They show it here, but on a flat map(it doesn't line up)... but when you connect Stonehenge to the great pyramid(remember, on a globe/google maps), the line runs parallel with Italy in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, then if you continue it, it runs practically down the middle of the Red Sea. I've always thought of Stonehenge as a spacecraft landing spot. And I have a hypothesis that the moon was held over the great pyramid by the tower of babel before ancient times... but, I'm still working on the hypothesis... let me know what you think.

To anybody who is interested in megaliths in North America, check out the montana megaliths. Some of the pictures may just be natural rock formations but some are very intriguing. They also happen to be within one of North America's latitudinal ley lines.

Ley or Dragon lines used to be visible in the distant past and were green. Maybe still are to those who could see them.
They are detectable with the right equipment. If you walk across one, the needle goes up as you enter the Ley and drops as you exit.

John Michell was not only an academic but a great writer as well. And a man who could put things that most people don’t even perceive into a story. However he did not discover Ley Lines, that was Alfred Watkins, in the early 20th century, just before modern infrastructure destroyed so much of our terrain. He discovered it and wrote about it in his book ‘The Old Straight Track’, a very difficult book to find today. John Michell’s book ‘The View Over Atlantis’ remains in print.

It is interesting that so many Monuments and Structures are Built on Ley lines, even the Pentagon is said to have been located on a Ley line, Washington has quite a few???
