I think the saddest thing is that Chichi was so relieved that Goku was fine after he got up from the heart virus, only for him to end up dying fighitng Cell. That must have been heart breaking for her

Y'know people give Goku a hard time for being a really goofy, slow, and naive. But people forget that he spent a large majority of his childhood living in the woods by himself with no one there to teach him social skills, school him, or give him "the talk". The reason he's so naive is because he never learned these things. I even think the characters in Dragonball forget this.

You can tell Goku always liked Chichii since the beginning but he just didnt know it because he was so naive and innocent

Honestly I love Goku and Chi Chi as a pairing. Yeah Goku can be naive and Chi Chi can be loud, but that's part of the appeal to me. It makes tender moments like these all the more special. Because you know, at the end of the day, they really do love each other.
