Flying Breeze Airways - America’s “Nicest” Airline

My last trip of summer 2021 consisted of 4 flights, all aboard "ultra-low cost" & "low-cost" carriers...the first being America's (now) newest airline: Breeze Airways! Previously, I had flown their E195 for the first ever service back in May, but I really wanted to see how their other Embraer aircraft faired out with a more normal experience, and today I did just that. Wow was I impressed. As I say in the video, it's always super cool flying a brand new airline and/or airplane model cause you really don't know what to expect. Breeze definitely has their act together in my opinion and perfectly stand out from the rest of the pack with their friendliness and "point to point" business model. I really wish them all the best and certainly recommend flying them. Hope y'all enjoy!

I just flew Breeze out of Alabama to Las Vegas on the A220 model plane last week. They had literally taken possession of that plane a week and a half before I flew on it. It was very clean and nice features that I’ve not seen provided on other airliners. The service was impeccable & planes were always on time, no delays. In this economy, the fact that I can fly round trip to Vegas and back over the weekend, in their “first class” for under $400 is awesome!

Breeze looks like a pretty good airline. I love their livery.

I flew Breeze MSY-CHS two weeks ago. I was a non-rev, as I work for another carrier, so i can't guarantee the experience would be EXACTLY the same for a revenue customer... But I found them to be great. From a revenue passenger standpoint, they were selling buy-on-board items and had a menu in the seatback pocket. They had wifi in the sense that you could connect to inflight entertainment (An OK selection at a glance, but I had already downloaded some stuff I wanted to watch), but no internet connectivity yet. From a non-rev standpoint, I liked that, due to the loads, I got a seat assignment when I checked in online (which was 24 hours prior) and they put me in a "Nicer" seat. A carrier with lots of promise that I think, despite being branded a ULCC, leans Southwest more than Spirit or Frontier.

Thank you for doing this review. My Fiancée and I are flying CHS-LAS for our honeymoon in December and were growing concerned about their performance based on other people's reviews. You, thankfully, have raised our spirits and we look forward to traveling with them this winter. Thank you for providing us the most in depth and accurate review of these guys. You've earned yourself a new subscriber <3

Update 12/16/2022: We concluded our honeymoon with a LAS-RSW-CHS flight. We were Nice but got upgraded to Nicest for the remaining flight home. The stewardess' went above and beyond to give us a comfortable and enjoyable ride home. We will be using Breeze again in the future🥰

Hey! Just wanted to thank you for your videos. I have had a huge fear of flying, but watching your videos made me want to try it because you make it seem so casual and, daresay, exciting and even fun. You also often fly out of my hometown airport, PIT, so your tours of the airport really helped prep me. I ended up booking a flight from PIT to CHS on Breeze, and I ended up watching this particular video like 20 times because I found it so relaxing. The flights were a success!! I am not a huge fan of the feeling of ascent, and we had "moderate turbulence" on the way home, but I survived and it was absolutely fine. I feel like I can actually explore the world now and not have to drive a million hours for a place that would be a short flight instead. So, THANK YOU for being so relaxing to watch, and for having such great videos. ❤

I’ve flown on JetBlue’s 190 from FLL-JAX and one thing I did appreciate was the IFEs, it may have been buffering a bit but it did work perfectly for the most part

I took a flight on breeze in 2024 three months ago. They charged for the snacks, and water, but the coffee was free. I didn't buy the snacks because there a bit price. Also there's no Wifi on the plane, but that will change whenever they upgrade. The flight was very smooth with very little turbulence. I'm taking breeze again in September 2024.

Finally a KSTS person, it’s an amazing little airport, perfect for plane spotting!

I’m flying breeze in 2 days, I know we have red seats, but wish they had screens in the back of the seats.

I haven't actually heard of this carrier before, but looks really smart, and perfectly kitted out from the POV of being a 'budget' option - well captured mate!

This the first time I’ve seen something about breeze. Good job. Not a bad flight

I just flew Breeze round trip last week .. in a Nicer seat CHS-MCO R/T after my first experience on Breeze last year from CHS to BDL. Breeze is polished for a new airline, the crews act like they have been there before, and the flights are mostly on time. I will continue to fly Breeze. I cannot wait to try the A220 first class product next month.. I am a Platinum on Delta, but love being able to get to Orlando nonstop from Charleston without having to make a stop in Atlanta (Lounge access makes it okay, but nothing beats a nonstop!)

Fare CHS --MCO (and back) in a Nicer seat was $91. This included a checked bag. The snack service is roughly the same as you would get on a Delta flight, except you can buy more food if you want it.

Omg I just saw my old office by Gate A4 at CHS on your video! 😂 I used to do Operations, Load Planning, and Payload Optimization! So cool!

"And turns out, the scanners at the gate were broken". The same thing happened to some passengers in either Boston or STL airport on a Southwest flight I took in April (of this year) and they had to have paper ones printed. I usually go paper boarding pass after checking in at the kiosk in the airports anyways just in case something like this happens; I don't think I ever have used an online check in/mobile boarding pass yet. I should do that next time.

I haven't flown Breeze recently/yet at all, but I'll let you know! They added a few more flights from my home airport a while back and I've always wanted to try them since last year but never had the time or chance.

Also - aw, looks like I won't get to fly Aha anymore. Oh well. More room for Breeze and Avelo I guess!

Breeze will deploy a fleet of 13 E190/E195s by this summer that will link underserved cities in the Southwest, Midwest, Southeast, and Eastern US. The airline selected the Embraer airplanes for their low operating costs and ideal capacity for the markets they will serve. David Neeleman, the carrier’s CEO, says that “Breeze provides nonstop service between underserved routes across the US at affordable fares. A staggering 90% of Breeze routes currently have no airline serving them nonstop.”

In a recent interview, Mr. Neeleman cited the advantages of smaller-capacity aircraft. “80% of the available seat miles in our summer schedule have no nonstop competition. So, what happens, in that case, is that you generate maybe 6, 7, 8, up to 10 times more traffic than you actually take from everyone else.”

Many of Breeze’s target city pairs are those where air service was suspended, cancelled, or infrequent. The 108-seat E190s and 118-seat E195s are the right sized jets to offer point-to-point nonstop flights. Mr. Neeleman sees the new nonstops as time savers. “If you’re in a really small market … where maybe you connect through a hub and it would have taken 3 hours to get there … now we can get there in an hour and 15 minutes.”

The fleet of 13 E-Jets is comprised of 3 E195s leased from Brazil’s Azul Airlines and 10 E190s leased from Nordic Aviation Capital.

Thank you for showing takeoffs and landings in real time! Also enjoyed the Milk Run as well as Barrow Alaska.

Breeze is a great airline the cabin is great since all of the seats have chargers. The only complaint is have is the landing. The landing at my vacation spot was really hard and I think the plane bounced. The one at home however was a little better but that is the only complaint I have
