I have had a few people ask me to do a bike check video, so here it is!
As you will see I am not very technical when it comes to the bits and pieces. Once I have something how I like it, it is more of a set and forget mentality.

I got mine end of 2019 - just before the belt was available. Katipo 475, Fox 36 Factory and Fox Float X2. Bike Yolk Revive dropper. Shimano XT 4 piston brakes. Carbon rims. First thing I did was chop the handlebars down from 820 to 780mm. I have replaced the front tyre with the Assegai and on the rear I have the Dissector (from DHF and Aggressor). I have recently sent my fork down to Shockcraft NZ and recommend everyone who buys a Fox fork to send it to them for a tune - burnished bushings, luftkappe and a tune - I now service the fork myself as well. I would suggest Zerode makes this an option during the NZ build process as it is night and day better than it was before. I mainly ride Oropi (Tauranga, NZ) and still love the bike.

2020 polygon siskiu n9 black edition with kona wah wah pedals specialized seat (factory seat a bit too firm for me) dhf and dhr with a spank oozy 395 rim on the front and a spank hex hub on the back. Goes good.

Nice bike. Is that 180/200 travel? Seems like a lot for a non-downhill, what's the head angle on the Katipo? I'd imagine it's pretty damn capable with those numbers.

Since owning the bike for that long now did you have any issues with your pinion gearbox like mine is occasionally making this clunk noise in between 5-8 gears it sounds like the pawl or freewheel system is skipping or kind of like binding it’s kinda annoying and I just had the bike for 2mos now and only ridden on weekends.

I can’t wrap my head around how the gears work
