Elon Musk's Genius Solution for SpaceX Starship to kick out FAA...
Huge thanks to:
======
As the current testing grounds and launch site of SpaceX’s massive Starship — a fully reusable rocket that very well may be the most powerful in the world — "Starbase" near Brownsville in South Texas, attracts plenty of space enthusiasts that want to catch a glimpse of the titanic rocket in action.

But with the FAA breathing down their neck in a year, fans of SpaceX that have been following the development of Starship are by now used to the first orbital launch milestone being postponed multiple times.
And now, SpaceX can't seem to be patient anymore.
This is Elon Musk's Genius Solution to kick out FAA on the way to colony Mars!

Welcome back to the Alpha tech. We’d like to take the time to thank you for your continued support of our channel.
Now, let's take a seat and find out everything in today’s episode of the Alpha Tech channel:

SpaceX's Starship gets closer to launch—but the future of its Texas Starbase is in doubt.

SpaceX cleared another hurdle in its quest to launch its Starship, the world’s most powerful rocket when the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted environmental approval for orbital launches from the company’s site in South Texas. The decision, announced on June 13 after months of delay and debate, requires several actions to ease the impact on public beaches and wildlife surrounding SpaceX’s private spaceport at Boca Chica Beach, 20 miles east of Brownsville, Texas. Clearly, the ruling still represents a win for Elon Musk’s space company, which could have been required to complete a much more comprehensive and lengthy Environmental Impact Statement before any orbital launches took place.

Despite the conditional approval for SpaceX, which still needs a launch license for orbital flights, the future of the rocket complex in Boca Chica Beach is less certain than it may seem.

If the epa and faa are so concerned about the environment then the epa and faa need to uphold the mandate of silent commercial airplanes.

I think it was inevitable that StarShip operations would move to FL at some point. Too much trouble at TX site. Time is valuable, and there is literally no time to deal with politics. And also, TX will be so sorry after all, they will lose tons of benefits, economical impact will be huge. And Elon's plans to build a SpaceCity in TX will be canceled eventually. not only for TX, also for ppl who moved to TX for SpaceX and SpaceCity will lose a lot of money. The only possible solution to this situation is using SpacePorts on the sea, which will take a long time, not doable any time soon. So, thank you NASA and FAA...

For every person making complaints, there are 100, 000 supporting SpaceX. Texas has hundreds of miles of coastline on the Gulf of Mexico, with a lot of it uninhabited by humans. There are far fewer people and wildlife around Starbase than Cape Canaveral in Florida. That area around Starbase is State land, and the EPA needs to go mind its own business. The real reason for the delays is SpaceX is developing rockets that the establishment aerospace industry said were impossible just a few years ago. SpaceX made all other rockets obsolete with Falcon9; now Starship will put them out of business. Most of these companies were used to making Billions of dollars on cost plus government contracts with almost no competition. The old companies made billions per launch and SpaceX charges about 50 million. Now Starship will cost a fraction of that. All of these companies got politicians involved and slowed SpaceX down.

Elon certainly will launch uncrewed tanker Starships from ocean platforms in the Gulf of Mexico about 100 km offshore from the beach at Boca Chica. With those platforms he will have complete control over the Starship launch schedule and will have the entire Gulf of Mexico as his exclusive tracking range, things he doesn't have at the Cape in Florida.

Starship is a U.S. designed and built launch vehicle/spacecraft produced by SpaceX, a U.S. commercial aerospace company. As such, by international agreement, the FAA has responsibility and authority for licensing Starship launches and landings no matter where these activities occur on the surface of the Earth.

The advantage of the ocean platforms is that FAA permitting probably will be easier to obtain because the environmental and safety issues concerning the ocean platforms are less of a problem than at the Boca Chica Starbase.

Great video. The floating platforms will give SpaceX the ability to do whatever they need to do.

The FFA & EPA care so much that they just let NASA dump their boosters into the ocean.

I was in Boca chica at the beach, the beach is a thump. This garbage all over it. Why does spacek have to fix that. And I hear it's been that way for years. Way before space x got there.

I'm 68 years old and I would have loved the gone to Mars 40 years ago.
Hopefully I live long enough to see C the starships landing on Mars.

To be fair the small handful of people that are making this hard work and a massive endeavour to get into space making the world a harder place to live in. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the couple of miserable people. Yes we need to protect the environment but I’m pretty sure SpaceX and Boca Chica and Brownsville councils managers and Elon musk himself are doing plenty to help the environment and sustain wildlife and the environmental impact.

Is there any serious impediments to launching from Mexico, a spit away from Starbase? Just wondering. Have you ever looked at a map of this Brownsville facility and its proximity to our Mexican neighbors? Offhand, I would guess that Mexico would enjoy thr prestige and recognition.

This change of plans by Elon to building on LC 39A due to the issues from FAA on Bokachica, reminds me of one of Elons famous quotes, "I don't never give up, I have be dead or totally incapacitated" (when faced with challenges or unfounded criticisms over what he believes in).

Why is the overview shot credited to Farrielle at 5:23 reversed? Is that how the original looks? The turning basin is south of the VAB, not north. This view is looking east towards the water, so left would be north...this image is reversed.

Thanks for including the Content about private individuals that want to stop Starbase. It’s always interesting who these sad little environmentalists are but more importantly I would like to know who funds them. Is it Jeff Bezos, the world economic forum or somebody trying to stop Elon musk from taking over the Space transportation industry?

If this were NASA there would be *zero* conflict.

This time what went on in Vegas will not stay in Vegas!!

I met both Britney Spears and Elon Musk in 2000 at Bellagio. Britney just stared at me as she was singing on stage and I was standing in an archway above and nearby. I'm not sure if I was supposed to be standing up there by myself but I did have her undivided attention. A few days later Elon came up to me and started asking me questions about what I was doing there, in Las Vegas and Hawaii during that time. If I would I be fine answering a few questions. And if I was a gambling man? I stated, "I was on vacation and I only like to bet on things that are worth betting on!" I had earned these trips by qualifying reward points at my work. He asked, "What kind of work is it that you do?" I said, "Commercial energy saving promotions but I had been schooled in Automotive Marketing Business Administration and worked in that field for several years as well." He asked me, "If I had millions of dollars to spend what would be the most innovative businesses that could help humanity?" We talked about electric cars, we talked about solar energy and so many other subjects for over an hour. Even commercial space exploration for the consideration of colonization. That way all of humanity's eggs are not in one basket in case of another world war, asteroid strike, major climate change, etc. These we're very expensive and ambitious businesses to become successful at. Therefore we had to talk about ways of keeping a low overhead in advertising, distribution and the manufacturing. He said, "They were all very good ideas and that they should be done!" He said he had already made hundreds of millions off of a couple internet companies he started. "One of them was PayPal, " he stated. Not that I had really done a lot of online banking or e-transfers at that time I didn't think much of it, until I noticed online about a year later that I could buy something off the computer with my PayPal card! Unfortunately I had just received a promotion as regional manager with the company I was working with. This made me let Elon know that I had to wait for a few years before I could assist further. I keep on sending out messages, hoping that he will get one and reply back. I will probably have to keep on trying, he gets more messages in a day then I would in five years! It is very inspiring to me to have a conversation with someone and they dedicate the next 20 years to making our conversation reality! We also talked about becoming your own best supplier and starting businesses that help your existing business. A type of slingshot effect that he has incorporated very well. It is so ambitious and amazing that he was willing to put pretty much all of his money where his mouth is and just make it happen with a consistent dedication. Congratulations Elon and I am looking forward to working with you again, one day in the near future! I still come up with innovative business ideas on a daily basis. Of course Britney I always wish her well and would enjoy meeting her again as well. Shoot for the Moon then Mars and then we will end up amongst the Stars! If you would like to learn more of these topics let me know. People with integrity expect to be believed otherwise they let time prove them right!

The FAA and EPA have the power of no, and won't relinquish it. I'm sure they would rather have them launch from Kennedy where they can have complete control over access.
