Awhile back, I tried to buy out the Exodus Common, Jackalope Herd, but there was no discernible impact on the market price. After this video I now realize the reason is solely that this fine card is NOT on the reserved list. Thanks, Rudy!😜

I am only 4 minutes in and Ah Ha happened. In the RAP game people would buy their own CD's and drive up the numbers for the Billboard charts. So in MTG you could just list cards on EBAY and have someone buy them at the crazy price which is not real. Then use that EBAY 'fact' as a 'see I told you it should cost 1 Million Dollars, muahahahah' Pretty crazy if you ask me as I had never thought of that 'angle' before.

Pyramids is not a good enough card to be a realistic buyout target. The card needs to be at least playable to have enough demand to hold a new price target.

This will fail because new and young players don't care about reserve list cards. Big money peeps aren't paying attention to the reserve list because they want to capitalize on all this new money coming in.
