Volkswagen introduced the Atlas three-row SUV in 2018 as a replacement for the old Touareg. Unlike that old SUV, the Atlas offers three-row seating, and a third row making it a great option in competitive family midsize SUV segment. 2024 VW ATLAS receives updated exterior styling, but the company made more substantial changes underneath the sheet metal.

the 2024 Grand Highlander on the other hand is an all new model from Toyota, and gets the grand naming convention not for its style or features, but because It offers more space for people and cargo inside its elongated body, with most of the stretch going to a roomy third row.

Great comparison. I already reserved a GH Limited AWD from our local Toyota dealer. I did consider Atlas, the new Pilot, but the 3rd row seat and Toyota's reliability won me over. I need an 8 seater with AWD for the family. GH, I think, is the only one there is out there for now. There are no 8 seater in higher trims of Siennas, and no AWD for Odyssey or Carnival.

With the 2024 Execline Atlas, you literally get all the best features available on today’s market. Its an elegant SUV with tons of life inside. With Grand highlander, you get the toyota usuals and nothing more. All you get is the so called reliability and resale value. Both exterior and interior of Grand highlander are lifeless like most Toyotas. Long story short, if you want an overall great driving experience, 2024 Execline Atlas is a clear winner by big margin.

Toyotas are very reliable cars but their dealership offer horrible customer care, it has been my experience on three different tries to by Toyota. The new VW Atlas is a great SUV and more reliable than what social media claims, I've had VW's since the 90's and they are very reliable by experience. VW Dealerships provide much better customers care, no doubt.

The reliability of toyota alone makes the grand highlander the better choice. The looks are subjective, and in my opinion, the grand highlander looks better.

Do you even look at what you showed which is Atlas All Rows Down cargo space having 86.4 cu/ft this is WRONG! Get your Facts right!
