I watched this movie 20 yrs ago. One of my all time favorite ones. I recall the true life events unfolding on the T.V. Where the events were unfolding. So many brave US soldiers lost their lives. I understood their need to leave no one behind. It choked me up then and to be honest hits me hard when I watched this recap. My thoughts and prayers to those KIA and their families back home. 💪🏼🙏🏻✨

It was totally expected of the Somalis to attack them, they were told not to underestimate them and to take them seriously. It’s was a mission that didn’t have the support it needed and it fell apart
