Windows 10 File Explorer crash quick easy workaround.

So you need to look at your files but file explorer keeps crashing? Well if you don't have time to do all the registry edit stuff then here's a quick way to get access.

Worked perfectly. Thanks for posting. After spending 4 hours trying a whole host of 'solutions' posted by Microsoft this 1 minute trick did the job. At least now I can access my files while Microsoft keeps jerking us around.

Hi, I am not sure if this is related but my windows explorer crashes when I press a key on my keyboard. I was trying to copy a picture, so i pressed ctrl+c, then my folder closed/crashed. So i went back again and tried ctrl+x and it crashed. Even pressing just the key "1" or the key "tab" and my folder closes/crash. Basically, pressing any key when I am in a folder, makes it crash. It doesn't crash when I am in Chrome or Mozilla. Can anyone help and give me suggestions on what could be the problem?

This did not work. It did the same thing as the File explorer did. It crashed!

wow. Who knew if a quick work around for people which is a less than a minute long doesn't happen to work you fly off the Handel. Also I fixed the problem by upgrading AutoCAD and removing the old version. To these unstable people. I hope people in your lives learn the worthlessness of helping someone like you. They will save themselves a lot of trouble that way.
