That's the kind of aesthetic I'd prefer for the Star Trek Picard era ships.

Am I the only one who sees that the saucer is a Sovereign saucer, turned upside down, and "trimmed" - they even left the underside windows in place, which is why they look odd as "bridge" windows.

First impression from the video thumbnail before watching: Do NOT board that ship! You will get a free hug and a lot of chest pains later on!

What is with them wanted fleets of section 31? it's like deploy the armor battalion full of agents and spies

The saucer section is the underside of a sovereign class saucer (modified of course). The windows are the auxiliary deflectors.

I see a mid 25th century Federation/Breen collaboration.

I like this design too! I too am a long time fan of the Akula-class! I see the Akula informing this ship's design and that of the Kelvin.
The curved Nacelles, reminded me of the Leviathan-class Interdictor Cruiser in KotOR.
I want to see more of this ship.

The Kelvin with the nacelle on top, secondary hull below and half a saucer. Then a jellyfish.

4:41: Why is the warp nacelles curved, wouldn't that impinged the flow of the matter scream. And I agree with the captain regarding the bridge lights

Scale appears to about in the 500 meter range. Seeing the Big 1200 m Warbird d'erdex class in the background.

Reminds me of the Akula as capt said, that being said it reminds me of all the vertically aligned ships, so challenger and Kelvin to. I like this one i think it looks more JJverse than the vengence did. Vengeance never looked like it fit, looking more angular and felt like it almost had the vibes of the Klingon birds of prey we saw in into darkness.

It's an interesting looking thing. I assumed the top "nacelle" was just a deflector/secondary hull section like the U.S.S Kelvin but it could be a second nacelle for sure.

Falcon class sounds good to me.
Looks like a Falcon swooping in on airborne pray .

Setting aside the design aesthetics and focusing on coming up with a functional reason for this design, particularly the bridge design.
I once went to a phantom of the opera play where the orchestra was underneath the seats and the only thing you saw was the conductor and you had audience seating all the way up to the edge of the stage. In this design it’s possible that only the command staff can see out of the main window and all the support stations are below the line of the windows. This would be like the conning tower of a sub

Setting aside Sec31 bit, interesting ship design.

I think captain Foley miss pronounced Akula. Ah-cool-a, Russian for “shark”.

Are you kidding me? That is part of the Enterprise-E saucer upside down.

This ship looks like a hand weapon from a generic sci-fi game.

I agree about the JJ comics. They were just your typical Star Trek stories

I am anxiously awaiting the Eaglemoss newest version of Discovery.
