With a staggering 37.9 million individuals currently residing below the poverty line, accounting for 11.6% of the total American population, the United States finds itself in a paradoxical situation. Despite being ranked as the wealthiest nation globally, as per GDP metrics, America's poverty rate remains alarmingly high.

The paradoxical coexistence of abundance and poverty in the United States is a well-known phenomenon. While the nation is famed for its great wealth and opulence, the flip side of this reality is the widespread economic insecurity and poverty experienced by a significant portion of the population.

According to MIT researchers, a family of four requires a living wage of $24.16 per hour to make ends meet, while the federal minimum wage is a meager $7.25 per hour.

Despite being one of the wealthiest nations in the world, the United States continues to grapple with a significant deficit in social safety nets - a shortfall that has left many vulnerable Americans exposed to the perils of poverty. From inadequate healthcare provisions to limited unemployment benefits, the country's inadequate safety net has created a critical gap in support for those most in need, perpetuating the cycle of economic insecurity and exacerbating the challenges faced by struggling families across the country.

Raising the minimum wage won't lower poverty, if anything it will just raise it. Since minimum wage earners will be made redundant. What you need to is cut costs, energy, rents, food, education, then make a business tax and protect worker jobs and consumer prices. This way I can see it helping.
You should run a test on a small cosmopolitan area, then scale it to fit.
Otherwise the video title will become reality.

United States (US) citizens support US imperialism by continuing to vote for Democrat and Republican candidates. The war in Gaza is the perfect example of that! Most Americans are against the US’ unconditional support of the artificial colonial settler state of Israel in its genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine, however both major US political parties are against the will of the people! Our government, therefore, is an oligarchy! How about the fact that, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, 38 million Americans today live in poverty? How about the fact that the People’s Republic of China has already eradicated her poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population? Isn’t that real democracy? The United Nations (UN) will hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing on Thursday, June 20, 2024. How about the fact that most people are unaware of that, because the so-called US “free press” keeps that quiet to try to hide the US’ crime against humanity. And, how about the US hypocritically saying that it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence, while, at the same time, it has consistently refused to comply with 42 UN’s resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? The UN will issue yet another resolution saying exactly the same thing as all the others. Who will force the US to comply with international law? As long as the US continues to be an empire, it will always violate international law. Only the third party candidates have a platform for dismantling the US Empire. Americans are supporting US imperialism.
