I love how Aragorn almost seemed hurt they felt the need to bow.

Aragorn is not only named king, but also the hero who led the men to defeat Sauron.

But he replies, "no, I am not the true hero, they are."

How can anyone not love this character.

Sam looks like it's very awkward for him.
And Merry and Pippin are just like "Yeah, this is good, I deserve this"

I love how the 4 Hobbits almost forgot that they traveled with Aragorn who is the heir to the throne of Gondor so they respectfully bow to him, but Aragorn could never see them as his subjects, instead he breaks that illusion by calling them what he has always seen them, his friends.

Imagine him telling his children that the Kings of Gondor, Elves of Lothlorien and riders of Rohan all stood before them and bent the knee to honour four small hobbits.

Wonderful scene.
King Elessar (Aragorn) acknowledging that Frodo's determination, Sam's loyalty, Merry's cleverness and even Pippin's impertinence saved Middle-Earth.

“You bow to no one” is obviously the hard-hitting line.
But the way Aragorn (played masterfully imo by Viggo Mortensen) steps forward and says “my friends” hits me just as hard. You can feel the emotional connection that has been built between these characters, it’s so tangible and so real it’s remarkable how much it translates through the screen
