When you aren't even going half a mach, you're bound to be vulnerable to SPAA, especially in the SAM era.

The A10 is designed for CAS only, and requires the AO to be cleared of air defenses and enemy fighters before it can do its job. The A10 simply doesn't work in war thunder unless your team is coordinated enough to allow the A10s a clear space to work.

It’s because the a-10 is ground support not a fighter so aa guns and other weapons will fire when close

Yep. There's A LOT of planes in the game that aren't good just because war thunder matches are too small and short for them to be used how they're meant to.

I mean if there was no anti-air that's capable of freaking guiding missiles in to its target without radar and no aircraft then yes but that's for every attacker
