What's In A Gaming CPU?

Well, what’s in a gaming processor? A lot, actually. With the consoles moving more toward a GPU-centered design, and the new Pascal and Polaris cards taking up a lot (though justifiably so) of headline space, the processor, the heart of any console or PC gaming rig (or graphing calculator, for that matter), isn’t quite getting the attention it deserves.

I miss a bit, that it isn't clearly said that a GPU is only any good at calculating MANY things in parallel. Like calculating the color of 1920 x 1080 Pixels 60 times a second. And you don't want to use a GPU to calculate any program that isn't really parallel.
CPUs are the best way to calculate things fast.
GPUs are the best way to do the same calculations on a big set of Data simultaneously.
