The truth is that I have my Intel and it has worked very well for me, but if this is true, then it is a better option to opt for an AMD so that in the future you do not have problems and the processor does not degrade so quickly.

I am not buying intel CPUs until they get their shit together and works properly for atleast 1 year without any failure. Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on a CPU just to find out it degrades or crashes because companies are too lazy and money- minded .

My first pc had an intel cpu and it did great. My current rig I built from scratch and went with a 5800x. Now I’m on a 7800x3d and will stick with this forever basically. I’ll probably upgrade to the best cpu at the end of the life of AM5 but I will wait until the next gen releases and that chip then drops in price.

Just buy a 7800x3d if you can still find one. It crushes everything else for gaming.

Choosing a gaming CPU has never been easier in years. (its not complicated like this video claims in the first 4 second)
New PC (Best) = AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
New PC (Budget) = AMD Ryzen 7 7700 / AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Existing AM4 People = 5700X3D
Both AMD 9000 series and Intel Core Ultra 200 are just more power efficient and not much faster from last gen and their price does not justify purchasing them.

I upgraded to a new system 11 months ago (i7-14700K, 2TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, RTX 4080 ProArt, 32GB DDR5). Big upgrade from my 2016 system (i7-6700K, 1TB Samsung SATA SSD, GTX 1070, 16GB DDR4). I was gonna upgrade to an AMD CPU but I didn't like the motherboards so went with Intel.

Anyone who wants a new gaming PC should stick to a AM5 motherboard, an AMD 5 7600X CPU, 32 Mb of RAM and the best GPU they can afford. This settup will kick the sh1t out of most games in use right now and will offer very good upgrade routes when the hardware manufacturers get their act together.

I think the problem that has arised is, the technology being used to make the chips has reached its limits, and the speed of the cpu is not really going to get much faster.. it can perhaps be made to run more efficient, but its not really going to get smaller where the transistors are concerned.. now, new technology might change that, and perhaps some level of quantum computing may be the future, I just want a chip which works well and takes advantage of all the cores which it has..

Lower power consumption is a good thing as the power use of the last few generations of the PC overall has been pretty crazy but If Ryzen do release a new x3D that does increasing benefit for both gaming and productivity, I will absolutely switch to Ryzen depending on its power requirements.

At least intel was honest about preformance compared to the x3d cpus. That's a first.

The windows update in CP77 was a BETTER and BIGGER performance improvement in real game. They’re are way heavier cpu areas in the base game and even more so in the expansion.

Really feels like Intel are no longer trying to compete with AMD on gaming, and instead going after the productivity audience... Wouldn't be surprised to see them launch a dedicated gaming line in the coming year or two

7800X3D = Perfection, also if you wait for Black Fridays Sales you could get one for £200 or less. If I remember rightly I think last year it cost £150 - £180
