Hydrogen fuel cell | How does it work?

The use of hydrogen as a fuel has a history dating back to the early 19th century, and its development as a clean energy carrier has evolved over the years. Here's a brief overview of the history and development of hydrogen as a fuel. The oil crisis of the 1970s prompted interest in alternative fuels, including hydrogen. Research and development efforts focused on improving the efficiency and practicality of hydrogen fuel cells.
Currently considerable amount of hydrogen vehicles are used in different countries. So today let’s see how hydrogen can be used as a fuel.
Hydrogen cab be used as a fuel mainly in two different methods. First one is it can be directly used as a fuel for internal combustion engine. Few changes have to be done to a normal internal combustion engine to use hydrogen fuel, mainly fuel supply system. But basic concept of IC engine will not be changed.
Other method is hydrogen fuel cell. In this scenario hydrogen fuel cell generates electricity and vehicle moves as an electric vehicle. In both of these scenarios the final remaining is water.

Now if somebody decent can just put a normal size fuel tank to fill with water to do the conversion on board
