Since I know how much everyone loves Mayonnaise the cat, I wanted to inform you all that he is currently fighting for his life in emergency care. At this time we don't have answers on his diagnoses or potential treatment. Medical costs will likely exceed what the owner can afford. I will be personally donating towards his care, and a GoFundMe will be set up as soon as we have more answers.

My boy (also a chocolate British shorthair) is the exact opposite. He was the quietest cat ever, I rarely heard him called at all unless he wanted sth. But when I took him into the bathroom, he immediately knew the time of bath had come and went full “husky anthem” with me. Luckily he was just screamed and played pitiful without fighting back or scratching. Eventually he accepted his defeat and even tolerated me cleaning his ears. I lost him last November and watching this makes me miss him so much

Reminds me of my late tortie Carmilla. Had to bathe her when she was too old to take care of herself, and she just stood there like a blob. A blob that definitely didn't want to be there, but an innocuous one nonetheless. It wasn't really a surprise considering I have had several vets telling me she was the best behaved cat they had ever seen, and in her last year I had to give her fluid through IV because her kidneys weren't really up to poa anymore, and she just stood there and took it like a champ.
She's been gone since November, and we still miss her like the first day honestly, and I don't think I'll ever meet another cat like her, full of tortietude and death glares, but so so patient and tolerant of mostly everything.

I didn't know they were rare. My very first cat, when I moved out on my own, was chocolate colour. I named him, very imaginatively, Chocolate! He was adorably cute and loved snuggles. He used to wrap himself round my neck whilst I was sat on the sofa watching TV. The problem was he'd get so comfortable and contented that he'd start purring. Loudly. And then I couldn't hear the TV! 🤷‍♀️🤣 I couldn't disturb him though so just learned to lip read....

My cat was like him, I called him my little gentleman. He was mixed and the tips of his fur were black but the roots were white. I've never seen that in any other cat. I miss him so much it breaks my heart
