Every man needs a mill like this.
Just like women need shoes.

Hi Jason, Great of you to help Zack. I'm sure you learned a few things, too! Fred's got some competition - haha. Best of luck to Zack. Take Care, Jim

I would be using a high pressure washer to clean the logs b4 milling.... which will make the blade last longer

One more thing, check out the video I put up of my camp. All of the white pine inside came off of my property and from the LT15. Make sure you stack your wood with wooden stickers so it dries properly and avoid any mold.

What type of wood is that? The pattern at 10:49 looks really beautiful. I wonder if you could take a thin slice of the wood just under the bark and frame it as wall art

Best to keep your logs clean on runners that u can easily roll to the mill. U can pressure wash the dirt off if that's easy enough to do where he's setup. He's gonna want to save the trimmings for cutting 4ft stickers and a cant hook if he doesn't have one yet. Best way to learn is by doing. He'll be out there everyday sawing in no time.

You should have a winch to bring the log up onto the mill. Did you get one with the mill?

Is it me or is the mill not level? Looks like you guys are trying to keep the carriage from running away with itself.
Good video.
Congrats to Zack and Kristi. They'll love having that mill.

did u check to see if it had any oil in the motor??? what about filling the tank above with soapy water??? I am pretty sure the blade will last longer.

Just wondering why someone wouldn't pressure wash the log before milling?

He'll need a lot more soda cans around before he becomes a master sawyer.

You should get a sawmill or build a kiln to increase your margins on the logs you process.

You can lose the limbs. It's the trunks you don't want to lose.
