I bought a security torx bit set for $15, undid the battery and reset it. Charger and battery now working. Saved about $200 on buying a new one! Many thanks to Talented Dad.

Worked for me... one of my screws had a plastic cover that I had to pry off before I could get to the 4th screw head. I purchased the DeWalt DWA1TTSMF7 Max Fit Torx set that is the standard Torx with the center drilled out so they are compatible with the security screws. Nowhere on the product does it mention security or C10. From Home Depot in the US, a standard set of 8, T10-T40 for just $9.95... way cheaper than a new $179 battery! thanks Talented Dad!

I almost tossed my battery. This worked for my 5ah 40volt. A new 6ah 40 volt is $199.00. Thank you for this video!

Thanks for the video dude! Mine didn't work at first, I mean the lights lit up but the one single light didn't so it pretty much did the same in the charger red green red green so I tried it a couple more times, I'm not sure exactly what I did but after fiddling with it I finally got it. Thanks again and God Bless You and Yours!🙏🤠👍

This seems to work! I tried other techniques such as external chargers etc, but the BMS wasnt satisfied.

Any idea whats causing the fault in the first place? Also, how long was the fix good for?

I did what you said I reset it and it works fine but only for about 45 seconds and then it goes back to blinking green and red. I tested it with the voltmeter and I get 38.9 V in the battery but even after I reset it and I hit the charge button it says that there’s only one bar of juice left in the battery, but it should be almost full going by how much voltage the meter says is inside of it, any idea what could be happening and I actually have two of them doing the same exact thing I’ve watched a bunch of videos everybody says just reset it or jump it I’ve done both jumping it with another battery doesn’t seem to do anything resetting it makes it work for about 30 secondsI can’t find any defects on the board I’ve looked for shorts I’ve checked the capacitors the best I can without removing them can’t find any other problems. Do you have any ideas what could be going on with my batteries?

Awesome
But I’m missing a step
My battery is doing the exact thing
Charger data is defective and better just flashes all 4 wth button is pushed

After removing the top casing -

1) I need to use a piece copper wire?

To touch what’s on the board?
