It should be stated somewhere that those differences in elevation are exaggerated many, many times in order to show contrast. If the earth were the size of a bowling ball, it would be smoother than any bowling ball in the alley — even a brand new one in the pro shop. So yeah—mountains and trenches a few miles up or down don’t amount to much when the planet is 7000 miles in diameter. It’s also 22, 000 miles in circumference btw, and 22/7 gives a decent approximation of pi: 3.14(it’s inaccurate to any more places). Now you know!

Why is it that certain pieces of land are purpusefully higher and where the water is its way lower as to accommodate the water. Why can't it all be one height.

Why does it have to be either? It's a legitimate question. A lot of people still believe in the possibility of Atlantis. I think it's actually an interesting question. If Atlantis existed, wouldn't there be evidence of it in this simulation? It's an interesting, yet fantastical discussion.
