I love viktors voice when he's talking to jayce. His voice acting is just amazing, and one thing I didn't notice until properly looking at the scene is how viktor seemingly immediately takes a slight dislike after Jayce's comments about the undercity, how he just gives a simple "no" to him finding help from singed.

Victor is genuinely surprised and disappointed at Jayce. The conversation feels so natural.

I love how Viktor just slaps Jayce's hand away to let him know he really crossed the line with this one.

The social commentary in this show is insanely beautiful. If I was an undercity person who was compelled by the pain of hunger and starvation and homelessness to work in shipyards, blacksmithing, or any other occupation for poor compensation because I was considered easily replaceable by unemployment undercity persons, and I saw the enormous wealth of Piltover and the council and the elite while I'm struggling to put food on the table, I might as well fucking riot.

I love the camera angles of this scene how we’re eye level with Viktor for the majority of the time but looking up at jayce and then right after jayce makes his stupid comment we’re looking down at Viktor.

I like to think “I have a lot on my plate” is actually a pin point accurate callout of a core flaw of Piltover. They have too much on their plate, too much wealth and luxury while people right under them are starving to death. They have too much privilege.

Jayce literally has too much food on his plate. The untouched sandwiches laying uncovered on his apt desk. Then a massive steak behind his propped up feet in ep4.(Even the other apt. Vander’s kids leapt across had a full tray of cupcakes sitting outside). He has too much on his plate to step outside his privilege and actually aid the undercity

I've only just realised that the shot in 1:02 where Viktor clutches the crutch while talking about how "nature is resistant to this kind of tampering" isn't just to draw attention to the "nature" Viktor is trying to change, but it's also because the shimmer is literally hidden in the handle of the crutch.

I think what makes this scene so much more powerful is the framing, we get Viktors exact point of view: we're looking UP at Jayce, he's talking to Viktor as if hes below him

Oof, if you focus on Jayce at 0:54, after Viktor slaps his hand away, you can see the moment he realizes he just shoved his entire foot in his mouth. You can literally see him say to himself "why the fuck did I say that??" with just his facial expression.

"I'm sorry, I have a lot on my plate". No Jayce, having a lot on your plate and being tired isn't what makes you prejudiced. It just lowers your inhibition and you let your inherent prejudice slip out. That's why Viktor was so pissed at you and why you lost his trust.

I feel like when he looked at his crutch, he was thinking I should join my people and hit some enforcers. It also looked like he would have told jayce about the shimmer but due to what he said viktor was like nope never mind
