I'd tell the person to turn the feelings of guilt in to feelings of thankfulness. I'm at a point in my life where I can look at my horrible sins and not feel guilty, but rather feel immense thankfulness that God has forgiven me when I don't deserve it, that I am not that person anymore, and that I don't live the way I used to. Turn guilt into thankfulness and be a testimony to others.

The old person is dead, it is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me. And Christ is worthy of all things, including grace.

What a great short teaching on guilt as shame, properly placed versus guilt that improperly remains as feelings of guilt. Why? Because what God did in dying for our sin is inconceivable to us…our minds can’t reconcile it within ourself. It is simply too great a burden Christ bore than no other person ever bore nor ever will bear. Our response is to receive it. And if we retain and hold on to feelings of guilt and shame, we will have effectively taken the blood of Jesus, AND the authority it has, …setting it in a bowl outside the door of our heart.

And so, guilt and shame is a byproduct of our not fully receiving the gift of Grace.

This time of Passover, let us paint the blood of Christ on our hearts, keeping it ever fresh through sanctification.

I so love this video! What a great teaching on Grace. I was in the same boat as the person asking and I’ve been doing just what is being suggested and it works! It really does. Praise the Lord

Jesus wasn't sent into the world to condemn us BUT to save us through him.

That also means to SAVE US from our feelings of guilt and shame from those sins. Hope she was able to find peace

It's important to remember our sin... and our redemption also ❤ it only took Isreal 72 hours to forget in the wilderness. Joshua 4, God tells them to stack stones to remember because he knows we are a foegetful people❤ trust in Jesus' sacrifice and trust in his power to cleanse you! However, remember the pain that sin does cause. Our sin should make us tremble and should cause us to worry (self examine), repent (about face) ❤and then we can rest in his promises (believe)!!

I’m really simple then… when I have actually repented thoroughly and I still feel shame, I just ask Jesus to take that away.

What I gathered from this JP video, women should not be in positions of authority over men that are personal and directive. Let me start that list for positions that are personal and directive over men at any given time:
Nurses
Doctors
EMTs
Fire Chiefs or shift supervisors
Judges
Lawyers
Couples/Family Therapists
LEOs
Drill sergeants or any order-giving rank in the military
CEOs/CFOs
Professors
Supervisors
Business owners
Managers
Etc.,
I don’t think that’s what he intended, but all of these positions fulfill personal and directive authority over men at any given time.
