Former Deputy District Attorney Patrick J. D'Arcy informs viewers that Massad Ayoob's "5 Step Plan" is completely wrong. Do NOT speak to the police. Ever. They are not there to prove your innocence. I found a video from 2012 where "Mas" as he is called admits that innocent people that speak to the police wind up in prison. So, why speak to the police? Mas says it is to create a "good impression" that you "are the victim." None of that is relevant in criminal trials. Now look, I agree with Mas on other things, but when he ventures into the law like he does (and as a non-lawyer), and uses his authority in a way that could put a person behind bars, I am forced to speak up. Don't send any hate his way. This is a free country, and we are entitled to our opinions. I respect Mas in his firearm skills, etc. But he has overstepped his bounds here. Keep everything positive. This video is not legal advice, but general information. No attorney-client relationship is formed. Always consult with a local licensed attorney in your area for specific legal advice.

He doubled down in a video on Wilson Combat’s channel just 9 days ago…

To be fair to Ayoob, this is a fairly old clip and missing context. His next line may have been "and that's line why you should say just these 5 things", which would "justify" his previous line. No matter what, he's wrong for exactly the reasons you've pointed out in other videos. I'm not sure why he's decided it's good advice, but it's hilarious to see someone thoroughly debunk it, so thank you 😂👍
