DC movies are back, y'all. Warner Bros. treated guests at CinemaCon 2023 to an early screening of "The Flash," the highly anticipated DC movie starring Ezra Miller (The Flash/Barry Allen), Sasha Calle (Supergirl), Ben Affleck (Batman/Bruce Wayne) and Michael Keaton (Batman/Bruce Wayne).

Directed by Andy Muschietti ("IT," "IT Chapter Two"), the official synopsis for "The Flash" reads: "Worlds collide in 'The Flash' when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?"

Fans have a lot of questions about what’s to come from "The Flash," but we're keeping it spoiler-free here for now. In this video, CinemaBlend's Managing Editor Sean O'Connell and our Head of Video, Hannah Saulic, hit you with their first reactions to "The Flash" movie.

While gushing about Ezra Miller's performances as two different versions of Barry Allen, we incorrectly use he/him pronouns. We meant to use they/them pronouns, and we are sorry for the error. They are an incredibly skilled actor, and we can't wait for you all to see them in this movie.

I havent been to the theaters in over 8 years and I decided after the DC Slate of James Gunn that I will be watching The Flash in theaters. The critics reactions to the flash got me really exited that we will finally have a proper DCU Storyline on the big screens.

Can you give us a scale of 1 to 10 on how Snyderverse fans will receive this?

Is it me or does Hannah Saulic remind anyone of Jenna Fischer's Pam Beesly from The Office?

Even though I've not seen "the Flash" movie yet, but I'll say this "If Ben Affleck's Batman doesn't get a heartfelt letter from Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Thomas Wayne. Then this isn't a proper goodbye to Batman. What's the point of a Flashpoint film without Reverse Flash& the letter?" Bruce- "you're one hell of a messenger Barry."

I've liked everything I've seen about the Flash movie but Ezra Miller. I'm glad all these other characters are in it because they are who I really want to see.

Incidentally, Zack recently stated in an interview with the Russo's that BvS Ultimate Cut made 80% of the total revenue for BvS when you account for theatre version vs Ultimate Cut, for simplicities sake I did some calculations. The box office made around $872 million, meaning that if this figure is only 20% of the total revenue, leaving 80% for the Ultimate Cut (Bluray/Streaming), we can assume that the Ultimate Cut made $3, 488 billion (total revenue $4, 360 billion, 20% of that being $872 box office theatrical cut). Zack said he had his cut in 'back up' just in case they wanted it, and they did, and he stated without that cut its very unlikely Justice League would have ever happened (given it ended up grossing 80% of the revenue). Impressive... !
