I can see why he had tears at the end of the video, the pride he must feel must be overwhelming, not to mention the fact that he is one of the select few who had the opportunity to live semi-permanently in space. He is a massive aspiration to many people and may he continue working and seeing the world from a different view.

Canadarm is one of the more crucial components of the ISS; it embodies Canadians in the way that it's not flashy, arrogant, but trusty, dependable and always there to lend a hand.

"A spaceship is coming and we need to catch it with the Canadarm2"
Best sentence I've ever heard

I can see the pride in your eyes Mr. Hadfield.

You reminded me why we are a great country in this short video. You made me forget about Stephen Harper for just a moment, and I am able to be proud to be Canadian again.

Thank-you.

I don't need canadarm2 to make me proud of Canada, but it is people like you Col. who just make us feel great about being what our nation is about and who we are.

Chris's videos are just so inspirational
its amazing what humanity has managed to do, and even more amazing that the same person managed to take part in so many of those things:
Chris lived in space, on the bottom of the ocean, flew a jet plane
it makes me wanna be as epic as him one day

It's got to be such a strange feeling to be out there, so surreal.

great music choice! touching video. i read an article about the ISS in a magazine and they referred to the canadarm simply as the "robot arm". i wish they would give canada the credit it deserves.

Just to add-up to your answer, UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) popularly known as "Greenwich" by everybody, is the time zone that has been in use for ages by Air Traffic Control, pilots and the aeronautic world in general, as well as by the military (which they call "Zulu Time", you may´ve seen it in some movies or TV shows, when they show "what time is it" at the begining of a scene)

So thats why Space Agencies use it, its an old international convention for a "universal" time zone, or "UTC"

Its pretty sad to think that one day all this awesome equipment is going to burn back up in the earth's atmosphere!

It's pride in a nation, or in humanity in general. "I'm the same species as this guy, and that's awesome."

So stick it. With the Canadarm.
