Charging error 5 means your robot's charging system isn't working correctly. Check that you are using an authentic iRobot® battery. Charging errors can occur with counterfeit batteries.

It's mostly the incorrect charge or battery issue make sure you have the right dock and cable for it

Charging error 5 means the battery is expired or a third party one. The robot will not charge.

I just let my iRobot to then go to the engineer and fix it

mine did the same, in my case it was the battery

Most likely charging system failure. You need to replace capacitor 35 volts 450 uf on board of charging dock.

I’ve gotten this message and it turned out to be a blown compacter in the power adapter
