I taped this episode on VHS as a 9 year old so that I could have the two performances of Nirvana on tape. I wore that entire episode out. My sister to this day (we shared a wall back then) remembers the Rob Schnieder bit "Dude, you put your weed in here!". To this day i'd still love to have a Univox Hi -Flier Phase I Custom just like the one he's playing. Beautiful guitar. Thanks for the memories, man!

Kind of crazy to think how Kurt will probably be remembered for as long as humanity survives while most of the rest of us will be forgotten before we even have a chance to die. What a choice: Live fast, die young and be remembered forever or live a long time, enjoy life and be forgotten? Either way, be sure to smoke weed and attend church regularly.

I can still remember seeing this that night it was first aired. They had a second guitar player and I thought Nirvana really looks great with a two guitar player dynamic. Nirvana had instantly became ten times greater in both sound and looks with Pat. Then a couple months after this SNL performance, they did that "Live and Loud" show in Seattle, December 1993. You can really see how so much heavier and dynamic they were with Pat. I still wonder to this day what a new original material studio album would have sounded like with Pat and them touring in arenas in the mid 90's.
