Do THIS When Drinking Saké

Показать описание
If you visit Japan you might have a chance to drink saké, Japan’s original alcoholic beverage.
When you do so, please keep one thing in mind: to drink water in between.
Why? There are the following three benefits.

1.Prevent getting too drunk
2.Makes the next sip taste better
3.Prevents dehydration

The water reduces the concentration of alcohol, allowing you to get drunk slowly and preventing you from drinking too much.
The water also helps to reset the palate, allowing the taste of food and alcohol to be more clear.
Alcohol has a dehydrating effect, however, you can rehydrate yourself by drinking water.
If you order saké at a restaurant, ask the waiter to also offer you water.

Personally, I drink alcohol in between my sips of water.

I think that's a rule when drinking any hard liquor.

Honestly, this goes for all alcoholic drinks.

Also: Eat heartily. Don't drink on an empty stomach.

I'll never forget watching Tenchi Muyo on Toonami when I was a kid and thinking that characters were acting too loopy from drinking "tea." Turns out they changed sake to tea for that dub. 😂

I need water when I drink wine due to it being dry. So makes sense.

It sounds very similar to why even though I drink whiskey including Japanese whiskey i have chasers but will try this next time when i get sake

Water or something lightly flavored (not overly sweetened iced tea) also gives the sake something to play off of to enhance subtle flavor notes often missed when tastebuds are numbed by the alcohol, especially if doing a sake flight.

Hey Shogo, don’t mean to be a know-it-all here, but alcohol actually has an inhibiting affect. It might be different for rice-based alcohol, but essentially alcohol inhibits your cells from processing water. Meaning even if you drink water, you will still get dehydrated due to your cells not being able to intake the water. The best way to solve this is to eat something that soaks up water well, like bread, as well as drinking water. This allows the water to stay in your system longer, and will help hydration once the alcohol wears off. Thank you for all the information videos over time!

This is great advice when drinking alcohol in general, thank you! It also really helps preventing a hang over the next day!

I am a big fan of Sake. The bottle I had was so smooth. I prefer it to western alcoholic drinks if I’m being honest.

Private tutor serves water alongside the coffee for similar reason too. Rehydration, lessen the overdose of caffeine. Though she also introduced me to Japanese tea and I am ready to try more. It's probably less complicated than it looks.

When you come to a doorway that you want to go through, and if the door is closed, you should open the door before attempting to go through the doorway. There are three reasons for this:

1) It will be easier for you to go through the doorway once the door is open. This will be especially convenient for you if it is a door to the toilet, or if there is a fire behind you that you wish to distance yourself from.

2) If you attempt to go through the doorway when the door is closed, you might hurt yourself, or perhaps you will not be strong enough to break down the door. This can be true if you attempt to press your whole body, from your forehead to the tips of your toes, to the door and lean forward, or if you repeatedly back up and attempt to walk into the door.

3) Depending on the establishment in which the doorway is located, the owner/manager might consider your attempts to knock the door down with your body to be rude, or perhaps be concerned for your physical and mental health.

If you have any additional questions, please ask your preschool teacher. If you learned something here, and managed to make it this far into the comment, you should congratulate yourself. However, you should still probably have a grown-up accompany you when you leave your room. The world is full of complicated situations, not all of which are door-related.

I always thought sake was thought as a restarter while eating because everytime I drink Sake during dinner the next bite taste likes the first bite.

Learned this when I started drinking at 21.

That's how wine is generally served. There's a glass for wine and a larger one for water. In my family, we also eat some bread drenched in olive oil before drinking. The oil forms a coat in the stomach that reduces the absorption rate.
