Is this the best pedal you can get for bass? DARKGLASS Microtubes X Ultra

I've been wanting to check out the Darkglass pedals for many years. They are expensive, and I don't get to play bass as often as I would like too. Recently, a fellow musician loaned his Microtubes X Ultra to me, so I could get a chance to check it out. Needless to say that I am impressed, and now have my eye out for one.

The Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra is quite possibly one of the best sounding, versatile and easy to use bass solution that I've ever tried. No wonder so many bassists use these things, they are simply amazing.

I'm a Stringjoy artist, and play their set of Broadways on all my Electric guitars.
I play the 10/13.5/17/28/38/50 on all my Gibson and Epiphone. I play the 9.5/13/16/26/36/48 on my Strat and Telecaster.

I would say the X Ultra is one of the best pedals you can get for bass, if not the best. It does everything you need in a way that respects the specific needs of the bass and doesn't just feel like a guitar pedal with a blend tacked onto it. It holds up at high volumes for live playing and doesn't bottom out like a lot of overdrives. The frequencies cut but it's still a full, solid sound.

Have you had any issues with dirt getting in the eq faders? Trying to decide between Microtubes X Ultra and the B7K and it just occurred to me that dirt could get in the faders and maybe cause some issues. Thanks

Hi boss,
First of all thank you for your super nice video.
I have a Microtubes X and I would like to upgrade to the Microtubes X7 or the Microtubes X Ultra.
The point is that I love my Ampeg head and I am not looking for preamp pedals, I just want an upgraded distortion but keeping the ampeg clean channel. Are the Microtubes X7 and the Microtubes ULTRA preamps or they are just enhanced distortion pedals? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

Is the Cab Simulation Button ONLY activating the effect the DI output and not on the 1/4" output? If so, this is really smart :)
