What is your favorite song that was performed by Cass Elliot?

This is fucking heartbreaking, she died trying to make herself in good shape for others, was a single mother, gets blamed for murder, and was treated like trash by her bandmates. R.I.P. Cass Elliot 😔

I think she was beautiful. Weight or no weight, being the butt of many jokes, she was an amazing woman who wanted love like anyone else. She WAS that band. God bless her heart and soul.

The bullying this woman endured during her life and even after her death was unforgivable. RIP Cass Elliot

this is one of the sadder one of these i’ve seen. she seems like she was such a genuine nice person and everyone around her was so rude to her for no reason other than her weight. ruined how i see the rest of the mamas and the papas.

Not to speak ill of the dead but John Phillips sounds like a real piece of work! Rest in peace, Cass Elliott. You live on in the hearts of those who admire you!💕

All the success of The Mamas and the Papas is solely because of Cass Elliot's amazing talent.

I remember all too well the ham sandwich story that was circulated regarding Cass Elliots sudden passing. I was almost 18 when Cass died in London.
While I was not really into the 60s pop music ( I was more of a Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Steppenwolf kind of guy) I was sad that she had died and wondered if the ham sandwich story was true. A few years back I saw the autopsy report, and then I remember thinking "Goddam !. People are just cruel".
Thanks for the upload. "Mama" Cass deserves to be remembered for all of the good things she did, not just for her weight.

Her manager promoted the rumor that she choked on a ham sandwich to SAVE her reputation??? What??? He turned her into a punchline in death!

Crazy how people think her weight killed her.
It most definitely was the crash dieting, fasting and malnutrition.

Regardless of her size, I think she, even to this day, had the most amazing voice in music. The Mamas and The Papas are one of my favorite groups gone by. The way they sang California Dreaming gives me chills every time I hear it. The quality of their voices and the music.... amazing ❣️ Thank you! 😊
She put up with a lot and always carried a smile on her face. Now, don't get me started on John Phillips.

Whew, broke my heart and brought me to tears, she did not deserve to be treated the way she was treated! And I believe the strain on her heart wss the crash diets she was on for years, because people made her feel less than human. I know how she felt, and I hope she is resting in heaven for eternity.

I truly believe that Cass was a beautiful person! A genuine, talented woman who was looking for love just like everyone else. God bless you, Cass! ❤🙏🙏

Her untimely death was tragic, but aspects of her life were fabulous and fascinating. Her home was the hub of the Laurel Canyon arts scene in the 60s. I think her influence on culture during that period is under appreciated. I'm not sure why there hasn't been a biopic done about her. She was so talented.
