I remember all too well the ham sandwich story that was circulated regarding Cass Elliots sudden passing. I was almost 18 when Cass died in London.
While I was not really into the 60s pop music ( I was more of a Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Steppenwolf kind of guy) I was sad that she had died and wondered if the ham sandwich story was true. A few years back I saw the autopsy report, and then I remember thinking "Goddam !. People are just cruel".
Thanks for the upload. "Mama" Cass deserves to be remembered for all of the good things she did, not just for her weight.

Regardless of her size, I think she, even to this day, had the most amazing voice in music. The Mamas and The Papas are one of my favorite groups gone by. Whew, broke my heart and brought me to tears, she did not deserve to be treated the way she was treated! Her untimely death was tragic, but aspects of her life were fabulous and fascinating. Her home was the hub of the Laurel Canyon arts scene in the 60s. I think her influence on culture during that period is under appreciated. I'm not sure why there hasn't been a biopic done about her. She was so talented.
