Playslits of this type never fails to engulf me in my imagination while writing. But today, I feel this deep melancholy inside me that craves for attention and relief.

I’m a member of a marching band. I’m not that good, but I’m not bad either. I’m improving, and I’m proud. But last night, I received some news that crushed my enthusiasm about band. My mentor is planning on quitting band, the one and only person who’s my motivation to continue. He who makes me feel confident and strong, makes me feel this type of relief whenever I’m with him. He feels like my older brother in band, or a father figure. He’s so optimistic and handles situations well. He performs so beautifully and I almost fell asleep once hearing him perform. His sound was so beautiful. And now that he’s quitting, I can’t help but feel regret, guilt, and empty. I have yet to make him feel proud of being my mentor, and he’s already leaving. It gives me this motivation to continue and make him proud even when he’s not in the band anymore. I hope that by the end of my career in this band (which I hope won’t come because marching band doesn’t really end), I made him feel proud of me atleast once. Now THAT, would complete this empty feeling inside me.

Though, with his resignation, two members of the lowerbrass section is gonna get a promotion which he would suggest to the seniors. I’m glad I became his student. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here at all.

That’s all, thank you. And thank you for this playlists, it helps give this calming and relaxing aura whenever I write stories.
