Top sheet and blanket and then a comforter to finish it off...don’t forget the pillow(s)

Comforters are expensive so we do tend to take care of them.

Always a top sheet. In the winter, even though we have heating systems and fireplaces, on your bed you very bottom is a heated mattress cover, then the fitted sheet, then top sheet, then a thin quilt, then a comforter/feather comforter/duvet and if it's really cold another blanket on top. I always turn on the heated mattress cover about 30 min. before getting into bed, then turn it down after in the bed. I also use about 6-8 pillows because I sit up to sleep (spine/neck issue).

Where are beds a part of the renters apartment? We have hot water bottles. Mostly used when being sick. Hahahahaha! I love the, for use of hot tea..just a box spring....but a lot of people are just going to platform beds now. Yes, we do use sheets on our beds that include the fitted sheet and flat sheet.

Most people do get a king size bed, if at all possible, once they buy their own home. Otherwise, those things are a bitch to move from one rental to another.

I take it your away at school by your description of your bed...thats cool and i wish you well in your studies. Perhaps you can do a student exchange to the u.s. and get to experience our american culture yourself

I always thought a King sized bed was a bit ridiculous but... I have a California King now and I don't think I can ever go back again. I'm over 6'2 and my husband is a former power lifter so space is an amazing luxury. First time I've ever had a bed where my feet aren't sticking out if I lay flat. Sad thing? bed. I still get less than a twin sized amount. My husband has half and by the middle of the night, our cats have taken their chunk out of the middle. By morning, we're both clinging to our respective sides of the bed while the cats are sprawled out in comfort. But at least my feet are warm and not going numb from hanging over the edge. That said - we move and I'm leaving the damn thing for the new owners to figure out. The bedframe has a built in bookshelf at the head and drawers all around the base and I swear to god I am NEVER moving that thing again. Has to be a minimum of 750lbs and that is before the mattress is added. I'm sure there are dust bunnies in the center that haven't been disturbed in years, but if I can't shove the hoover far enough under, they are going to remain there because I can't shift the thing!
