My Mom's an apiarist (beekeeper)! I've lived with bees my entire life, and have never been stung. They have a lot of personality, and (in my eyes) are SO cute and sassy!!

I adore bees. I let them crawl on me and drink from my water. Yes, I was stung a few times as a kid and went through a few years when I feared bees, but after looking into them more closely, I came to love them and appreciate them. If people stay still and move slowly, it is unlikely that a bee will sting them.

We have two hives of them in the backyard. Every single flower that is pollinated by bees grows fruit. We actually have to pull a lot of the fruits on our trees to keep the branches from breaking because literally every flower turns into fruit. We've had the colonies die off a couple of times for several of the mentioned reasons. I don't know that we've had them die out due to climate change though, although climate change is pretty obvious in this area, especially considering how hot our "winter" has been this year. A bunch of the plants think it's spring already. Luckily, the bees come out and pollinate flowers, even if they are blooming early (and some of them are blooming months before they should be blooming).

This whole beehive thing started when a colony of bees decided to make a hive in one of these tile tubes that was put on the front of the house for looks or something. I noticed them when I was up cleaning a second story window. We had some beekeepers take them out of that tube and put them into regular hives in the backyard. Ever since then, we have had bees there, even though we've had a few die outs. New bees have always come in and they even cleaned out the old hive once because we were all too sad to go do it after our old colony died. Each colony we've had has sent out several swarms per year and that is always cool because a big mass of them will often hang on one of the nearby trees for a little while before all flying off together. Bees are pretty cool and, although I've been stung a few times (including in the face), it's definitely worthwhile to keep bees around the yard.

The most giving creature on Planet Earth. I always tell my family and friends: “Do NOT harm or kill Bees.” The sign behind Mark Wahlberg at the beginning of the film “The Happening” has always inspired me to feel this way!

Bees are freaking adorable :). And no, I was never stung by one, we even had a few of them at home at some point but then a bear came and destroyed their home as well as killed them all. So at some point, I had to pollinate stuff by hand, which worked, surprisingly :P.

Animalogic but every time Danielle says "bee" it gets faster.

Also, I want to add, that raw, unfiltered honey from your local Apiaries can help you develope immunities to the local allergens. Bees are very important!

I've seen Doctor Who and can tell you that the bees disappearing is a VERY bad thing!

Nice video! And I am glad to say that bees may have a chance due to the discovery that they use medicinal mushrooms to fight off diseases and mites. They live longer when given these mushrooms, which are becoming rare in the wild.

I love this channel because it educates me with cute animal facts while also making me more socially aware

So, I work for a commercial apiary and we have about 6, 000 hives. It's unreal to see all the bees buzzing around in our numerous bee yards. In each yard there are roughly a thousand hives spread out. On warm sunny days the bees can be heard from a couple hunred yards away buzzing

I think it's funny that the fuzzier/closer the animal resembles a mammal the cuter we think it is. Spiders are excluded from this but that's probably because we don't normally see eight-legged mammals. It's a cool thing to think about. Levels of cuteness go deep into our mammalian roots. It's how we recognize and care for our kin.

According to all known laws of aviation there is no way a bee should be able to fly

Drone bees will also help cool the hive by fanning the entrance with workers. But otherwise, yeah their only job is to bone a queen.

Thank you so much for making this video! Bees are an issue I'm hugely concerned about so it's great to see some awareness being raised :)

4:20 thats sorta not true (only applies to North America) bees were brought over from Europe and North America was just fine without bees bc other bugs also pollenated in fact many species have gone extinct
