Man, i dont even drive my car unless my engine light is on. It lets me know that the engine is still there.

I've heard horror stories about the pedal commander as well, I ended up buying it anyway and have enjoyed it without any issues. But recently, I came across the Banks Pedal Monster video, where they explained the issues with the pedal commander. I bought the pedal Monster and feel at ease now .

When I installed mine I had to pull the battery and it worked fine. Months later I put in upgraded ignition coils and all my lights came on and all I had to do is reset the computer again by disconnecting the battery for 5 min and it cleared the errors. New cars are sensitive to mods when it involves electrics. It doesn’t like it when things change within the control system and needs to re calibrate by resetting the computer. I do like pedal commander but I should have waited and get a tune instead. If you tune it you won’t be disappointed, better throttle and power response, shifting and slightly better mpg.

I've had an EVC throttle controller for a year now on my Camry TRD. No issues whatsoever. Runs very well and provides my car with a nice boost in throttle acceleration.

Keeping mine installed, that specific issue can be created by of course changing modes while the throttle is being used. Love the eco mode almost never change to any other mode.

I installed mine in my 17 2.7 F150 and it’s awesome! Not a single problem!!! I drive in sport on +2 mainly, I tried sport + and it was wayyyy to sensitive. I’ve had mine for almost 6 months now and not a single light on my dash came on and if I really want to save gas, I’ll use eco and I’ve saved almost 3 mpg compared to without PC completely

Complete nonsense, I have it for over 3 years now never has a single problem with it, people don’t know how to use it properly changing the settings while driving and then they complain, this thing is amazing I love it

This advertisement brought to you by overland torque tune.

The issue is idiots not reading directions, and playing with it while their foot is on the gas.

I’ve had one on my trd 4Runner for 60k+ miles. Zero issues.

New cars are more sensitive than a few years ago. If all the lights came on his PCM probably panicked thinking something was wrong because it's not really changing the tune or code of the PCM but rather sending mixed messages. How do you react when you get mixed message texts? City driving ideally you would want a somewhat touchy throttle so you can move around quicker but you don't need the high end of the highway spectrum. In my opinion I would only run it in eco which would be as close to stock as possible or the race/sport mode. That way the computer is ready for you to jump on it. Not good for a PCM long term though

I have that one too on my 2021 Tacoma and since I have problems with that drop foot and sensitivity I feel like they eat cold. It feels good for me but when I put it on sport Plus it was way too quick. The truck evening it would burn out the tire

Yes, same to my 4Runner. It cause my check engine light and there was a warming on my dash saying engine over power or something similar to that. After I took the pedal commander out and clear my engine light with a scanner. It been great since then.

Same exact thing happened to me, ‘20 taco didn’t change any settings on the pedal commander for months. all of a sudden my dash lit up and my pedal didn’t work intermittently until I took the pedal commander out of the mix

I run Pedal Commander on my 2017 manual Tacoma and my 2019 Magnuson 4Runner TRD Pro... absolutely love it in both trucks! The device in addition to a metal tube CAI on my 4Runner really woke the supercharger up! Tune it to your liking because daily driving in Sport+ +4 mode can suck and youll really work a clutch also. Would 1000% recommend this mod!

I have pedal commander for my Tlx and never had an issue!

The reason why all the lights come on, is because when the check engine light comes on, it disabled traction control, stability control, etc. No matter what the light is for. It only did that because it must've thought that the throttle sensor wasnt working right, but it wasn't much else past that

Toyota is weird with their computer stuff! I’ve hooked my scan tool up to a couple just trying to pull codes and it had to unlock the computers before even starting! So I can see why Toyotas would have problems with the pedal commander!

Yep. It’ll do that sometimes. Newer yotas ya neeed a scan tool to put the truck into relearn on the ABS stability control system erease codes and go again lol. Not sure how much it affects standard transmission models- YET.
