I had an encounter with a false prophet, all the things that you have mentioned there I experienced it person. In 2019, my life was in shambles, I was desperate, so turned to a prophet, booked a one on one. He told me lots of things about my family that were true but his future prophesies were centred on prosperity. My alarm bells were ringing but I did not have enough of Gods word in me to be able to fully discern. I kept telling my self no church is perfect. He used to call me occasionally to say that he has a prophesy for me but I need to pay a seed first. None of the things he prophesied ever came to pass. I started getting more broke, even got into debt and I was asking questions. But, his excuse was that I needed to listen to more of his teachings and I needed to submit more to him. I left the church in 2021 and stopped communicating with him. In early 2022, he called me with a different number and said that I needed him, a prophetic voice in my life in order to be successful. In his own words, I could only get deliverance in "his church". Me, being naive again I listened. This time, his strategy changed, he kept telling me that I had demons in my life, that a pastor from another church I had gone to had stolen my destiny. At that point, I had had enough of the drama so I left. I started, fasting, praying and reading the word on my own. My life has never been more peaceful, I started seeing progress and I feel much closer to God now. It was a long journey but all things do work for good for those that believe in Him. There is really, a lot that happened but I have tried to summarise it. I hope someone will learn from this.

Pastor Vlad thank you for this message. I am originally from Africa and we have so many of those false prophets all over the continent. The worse thing is to see them now coming to America (where I have been living for 18 years) to spread their venom here too. The body of Christ needs discernment more than ever.

Recently a ‘prophet’ prophesied over me and I’m still trying to recover from spiritual damage that this has caused me.
I received a false prophecy and only by the grace of God a few months later I received a revelation from God that it wasn’t the Holy Spirit speaking.
I feel spiritually drained. I was so close to God before, and now I’m back in a place where I need to learn basic principles of faith - how to hear God, how to pray, read the Bible, be a consistent Christian… I feel spiritually violated and drained. I did receive and declare the prophecy, I wanted it to come to pass and when things in life seemed to be going another way, I was getting really confused and frustrated with everything and everyone, even with God. It’s really like being under a spell.
On the other hand, I’m trying to see the positive side of it. God did pull me out of it, I didn’t become a prophetess myself who prophesies using familiar spirits (I wanted to be a prophetess because of that ministry). The other good thing is that now I have experience and I’m gonna be EXTRA careful in the future when it comes to any types of prophets/ministers.
It’s truly dangerous waters. Might cost you your salvation (just receiving a false prophecy).
P.s is it wrong to mention the names of false prophets? I think it would be good to reveal them, so that other people wouldn’t fall for them, but I see that other Christians don’t name names. Is it not good to do that?

As a christian I was taught to trust in Jesus because he is our savior, he died for our sins. I will always hold on to my faith. It’s difficult but I’m trusting in you Jesus even as I’m still struggling. My husband passed away I’m alone. I’m a single mother since losing my job at Forsyth hospital over declining the vaccine things have been tuff. I’m thankful to waitressing Both of my boys are autistic. Heavenly Father I know you don’t give us no more than we can handle. But Lord have mercy on me. Every month is a struggle not to end up on the streets. I’m still struggling putting groceries in my refrigerator. I have no family nor friends to lean on. I’m so tired of struggling financially. I feel alone. This world has grown cold I get so much hate for sharing my testimony. But prayers are all I need. And I’m crying out to you LORD! SAVE ME. Walking with faith. ❤

Also important; whenever someone gives you a prophetic word, do NOT receive it automatically. Take it to the Lord in prayer and also research if it lines up with scripture.

Unfortunately, I have dealt with these charlatans, including being told to sow before getting delivered, being threatened if I left the church, etc. They didn't know that I had no fear because I know the God to whom I pray. They're out there and seem to be increasing, moreso than the number of the genuine men and women of God. We have to be very careful.

Having grown up under a false prophet, I am now learning much of what I believed strongly was a lie. It completely screwed my view of God's love, and who I was. False prophets are very dangerous as they inhibit others from doing what they are called to do. I don't know about most, but the one I was under was a narcissist.

Thank you for this message pastor! I am coming away from being under the teachings of one of these false prophets and I realize now that I was slowly losing my fire for God, losing desire to pray and study God’s word, and my finances have been hit hard. There were a lot of red flags that I ignored. I thank the Lord for leading me to the truth 🙌🏻🙏🏼

Scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 clearly tells us to not quench the Spirit nor despise prophecies but TEST ALL THINGS; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. God's people should be testing all who give prophecies and/or a prophetic Word against the Word of God! Many of us in the Body of Christ lack wisdom and discernment because we don't study to show ourselves approved unto God with the consequence being those who are ashamed because of not rightly dividing the Word of Truth. We should be praying and asking for wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of God, and that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened which is what Holy Spirit does for us. This is why so many of God's elect are deceived!

I confess that at a time I took drugs and was schizophrenic in my thinking and behaviour and for a few weeks truly believed that God was speaking to me and prophesied the most crazzzy blasphemous things. I was searching for God but had drug abuse history and entered the terrifying world of "spirituality"...
I called on Jesus as i was about to be sectioned and He has brought me to safety. I believed I was well meaning but I was utterly disturbed. May God save those suffering ❤ Praise be to Jesus
