Sure, image based sigs are pretty. But you can't copy and paste details from an image. If I get an email with a signature and it includes things like the sender's address, phone, and other details, I have to type those details into a new contact card, instead of copying and pasting them from text provided in the original message. Having to type those details leaves me open to making errors/typos. Also, if a recipient uses text-only emails (some people choose to render their received messages as text to cut down on message sizes or guard against phishing emails that try to hide nefarious links), then using an image means your contact details don't show up at all for that recipient. You can still have pretty sigs - you just need to take a different approach. Maybe Kevin and his team can show us how to craft a sig using Word - tables can be used for this purpose, and can be cleverly formed to make sure your contact details are text based.

Email signatures should have text for urls/emails/phone# so that people can USE the information contained within it. Turning them into images defeats the primary purpose of the signature in exchange for design.

Thank you for this tutorial! Is there a way to keep the contact information as text and just the logo/photo as an image? I think it can be handy to copy and paste phone numbers or click email addresses directly from signatures.
