The INTP personality type is an Introverted Thinker. They are introverts because they are focused on their own method and not interested in what others think, say or do. If you are not one of those naturally wired to be a quiet individual, you will need to compensate with your INTP personality. They are very adept at finding faults in other people's actions or personalities and use them to their advantage.
An INTP can be found anywhere in the personality world. There are many who are naturally introverted. A few are even more introverted that others realize, however once these INTPs get a little older, it becomes harder for them to turn off. And then there are those that seem to switch quickly between being introverted and being extroverted.
It would appear at first glance, that personality traits common to INTPs are all related to business and achievement. For many, this seems to be the case. Those who are naturally more introverted and those who strive to achieve more are likely to do well in business. But, the nature of personality traits and the intramural conflicts within their psyche will often produce individuals who have divergent interests and divergent means.
INFJ personality types are always interested in something new, but tend to be a little short-tempered. They can often lose patience quickly. This, combined with their tendency to be intensely interested in things that interest them, makes them impatient and averse to waiting on others.
INFJs may express this impatience in a negative way. They may pick fights, start arguments, and become verbally violent. This type of behavior may be obvious or it may come in the form of covert manipulation. The danger with this personality type is that he or she may resort to violence when they feel they cannot get their way. They may take other people's life, abusing them and denying them love.
An INFJ's need for security may also cause him or her to isolate himself or herself from society. It may take them a long time to truly accept someone else's friendship. If this happens, however, they may become close friends. In this way, they are able to share their innermost thoughts, feelings, and fears and learn how to support one another.
Personality is affected by the way someone sees themselves. INFJs may perceive themselves as being "not so great" or "lucky." They may believe that they need to borrow this kind of attitude from others in order to feel secure. If this happens, they may take on the persona of someone who is arrogant, egotistical, or shows qualities that he or she thinks are undeserving of them.
INFJs can have a hard time trusting others and may have difficulty trusting new ideas and concepts. This often leads to a great deal of frustration with people and a great dislike of uncertainty. However, being a reserved type of personality allows them to be more reserved most of the time. When an INFJ feels that there is a great deal of uncertainty about something or someone, they often want to try to avoid it as much as possible. They may even try to avoid being in social situations where there is a great deal of uncertainty.
INFJs can often be very sensitive when it comes to touchy topics. The fact that they tend to be so sensitive to even the tiniest things makes them seem like they have a hard time with the idea of not being able to "feel" things. They may be very descriptive but they will probably only use a few descriptive words when speaking. INFJs do not like to talk much but if you do get to talk to them, expect that you will have to talk a lot. This could be considered a personal challenge because they love to talk but are so afraid to talk in front of others.
INFJs also have a tendency to isolate themselves. They may choose to live in an isolated area or they may try to stay away from other "people" because they think that everyone else is going to think they are weird. Since most of the time, they do not like to be alone, they might also develop some sort of paranoia. People with this personality are usually paranoid and they are very moody. If you want to know how to deal with an INFP, you need to be able to know how to read their moods.
